    A non story actually
How many 16+ point comebacks were there in the rest of the tournament? Or all the conference tournaments combined? Or, even just double digit comebacks?

Kids don’t muster the energy for it, but if the other team shows nerves and starts to choke, then they probably will, if it’s a game of high magnitude. Carolina choked; mostly coach’s fault.

JJ - that was the largest comeback win in the history of the tournament. The largest lead lost was 10 before this game, so NO big leads have never been lost in the championship game.

It was the biggest comeback in the finals. Not the whole tournament.
The Jayhawks' victory isn't the biggest comeback in Final Four history, however.Duke still holds that record: a 22-point comeback vs. then-ACC rival Maryland in the 2001 Final Four. The Blue Devils went on a 23-12 run to end the game and beat the Terrapins 95-84 en route to the national championship. Coach K won his third of five titles by beating Arizona in the next game.
