i run many Fantasy leagues and collect like 40 payments a year as gifts totaling like 2k-4k and then send it back out to the winners as a personal gift. i would be very upset if my funds got frozen so can you tell me how many transactions you were making before they froze your account.

stop sending a few hundred bucks 2x a week and make it one transaction per week. Also, when they ask you for your information, just say hey I'm doing alot of transactions, can I get a business discount or rate. I mean the real thing is to get them so confused, they just stop screwing with you.

Yeah paypal, unlike a real banks, have right to freeze account whenever they want for whatever reason they want. I would not recommend keeping more than 100 dollars in your account b\c its never safe. It seems really convenient I know, but dont fall for it. I only use it for ebay personally. Paypal is a disaster. Despite whatever intelligent humans working there may believe (not sure there are any), if the system flags your account you are screwed. I have a 100% ebay rating (over 500 purchases and sells) and had been with them and paypal since 2003. All I ever used it for was to buy mostly and sell a few things online.

So I am a senior in college and this girl agrees to sell me her nice used HP for $500 from my chem class. I used the personal gift or give somebody you know money option etc whatever they called it last year. They flag my account and hers, call me, call her, send mail to both our places with a code to verify address, use phone verification where they call and give you a code.

After all this verification, sending in ID, sending in a bill, putting in telephone codes and mail codes, etc they eventually open up my account back up and deny the transaction lol. It was the most outrageous thing ever and I said why do you even have this option? The funny thing was I called them first and asked if she should put the laptop on ebay so I wouldn't have any trouble (google paypal sucks..you will see what a disaster they are).

Anyway I canceled my account and only buy from people who accept cashier's checks/VC/**/etc. Paypal is a mega disaster and once google checkout gets everywhere it will be a lot better. In case anyone didn't know ebay owns paypal so unless you are buying from there it pisses them off.
