A.) All of the reasons you listed.

B.) Very active, it is the only gambling board I post on, but I browse others. There are always new threads popping up, and content is always fresh.

C.) I believe the people behind SBR are honest, and I think for the most part their rating system is accurate. Sometimes you will find one that is arguably off but not by too much.

Drawbacks : One of the problems with the no deletion, and minimal mod interference standard is it allows people who are here that routinely harass other posters to run free for the most part. I think a new reasonable system should be set up to flush out 'repeat offenders', I know the techie guys are smart enough to keep them out.

And finally, the BTP contest seems to breed tons of people who have absolutely no interest in being part of the SBR community, and many try to jack up their post counts by posting crap.

Those comments were made in October of 2007, two months after I had joined SBR, and well before I was a staff member. I was just pointing out that for every silly statement I've made, there are "some" positive ones in there, too.

The lack of banning and censoring does not appeal to all. But I would rather put up with the cut-ups then having mods playing God. Therx end bettorsworld forums both tried controlling what could be said and both are suffering because of it.

Okay, I don't agree with letting the idiots and the cut ups have free reign. But that's something I could live with.

But, explain to me why posters who do nothing but harass, threaten, bully, and lie about other posters are tolerated? That I could accept, but when anyone stands up to these assholes they get some sort of restriction put on there account. That part I don't understand. And it is always the same dozen or so posters who engage in this behavior and the mods protect them no matter what they do. But, try to stand up to them and see what happens.

Then make a thread complaining about it and that thread gets removed.

I don't know about other people on here but if someone harasses me and threatens to rape my wife I'm going after the mother ****er, I don't care what the mods do to me.

I won't go to the bash because of these assholes. Because if I meet them in public I going to **** someone up.

Curious sometimes in life this is the way it is. We cant control everything in life otherwise dont you think I would have gotten rid of Tacomax by now. But I cant do that so I just ignore him.
