LOL. It is not like SBR gives out fewer points because there are unused points. Points are like dollars. You can make as many of them as you want.

Actually, it is almost guaranteed that non-pros are more valuable than PROs. The only thing PROs are good for is logging in every day and giving consistent volume to set ad rates. I'm pretty sure it is the non-PROs that make all the money clicking on links.

Do you think SBR does not want those people to go PRO to not have active points. That is the whole point of giving them points. Once you get them interested in points, they keep coming back. That is why they will let you keep 3000, it is a free PRO membership.
