Isn't it odd that Chris Webber is not in the Hall of Fame?

The guy was one of the best PFs in the league for over a decade, probably the best college player in the country for 2 years straight, put up incredible numbers in the league, should have got to the finals a couple times but was denied by Kobe. Lesser stars have made it to the hall. I don't think I can name 10 better power forwards than Chris Webber since the mid 90s till now.

    Good question Goater.

Based on numbers alone he should be in.
The torn meniscus cut short his career, so the main reason why the voters didn't elect him was due to longevity, or lack of thereof.
The other issue I think is the accepting that money from boosters while at Michigan.
    That hurt him I believe.

But I did some statistical analysis, Webber had four consecutive outstanding playoff stats for the Kings.
The Kings got robbed in the Western Conference finals in 2002 by the way, they had the Lakers by the balls.

    Webbers playoff stats from 2000-2003
(The dude played almost every minute in the playoffs for four years)

There you go again numbers numbers numbers...

They guy was a fuckin pussy. Didn't play any defense and routinely choked when the shots mattered most -I remember those Kings/ Lakers battles well, it was Bibby carrying the Kings on his back with clutch shot after clutch shot. Never mind the fact that he's a LIAR.

Give me Karl Malone over him. Malone had toughness in abundance, and though not a shot-blocker he was physical and had great hands for stripping balls loose thus he was a 2-way player.

I did say based on numbers only.
And I did say he should be in, not he's a lock or anything.

Malone is in, and yes give me Malone over Webber, even if Malone was one of the dirtiest players that ever lived.
Him and Stockton got away with murder.

Rasheed was a better player than him but they both should be in. He definitely was not best college player in country over Laettner and Shaq though. Or Calbert Cheaney.

It’s because of the scandal at the university of Michigan. He’s one of the best power forwards in the history of the game, right their with Barkley and Malone, he just didn’t get to spend a lot of time with a top franchise until he went to Sacramento. He’s the best passing power forward I’ve ever seen, averaged 25 and 10 in his prime with Sacramento.

Nothing rigged but if the Sacramento la series were officiated fairly he’d have at least one ring.

If he's in then sheed needs to be in. They are similar in talent and overall affect of the game from the pf or 4 spot though very different playing styles

Yeah, I figure it's because of the scandal. So dumb honestly. Guy takes a bit of money and that someone diminishes his bball ability?

Disagree here. I love Sheed but Chris Webber was a much better player. Scoring, rebounding, passing, pretty much every asset of the game.

Not defense or toughness, sheed was regarded as a top 5 player at his height in Portland. Webber was only ever regarded as a top 5 PF in his prime with Sacramento.

Both guys were 20/10 guys but sheed has the ring and was the best player on that Detroit team. Webber got robbed by donaghy against the Lakers but someone else mentioned it correctly when they said Webber was soft and not a worker

Wallace was the better defender than Webber, Webber was the much better talent though. The Detroit team Wallace got a ring with had no superstars, Wallace was good but older on that team.
