That does sound a bit racist at face value. Is there a larger quote within some sort of economic context?

Is it one of those times they selectively snip the quote out of a larger quote to make it sound more shocking?

Washington Monument and all locations with his name attached ( parks, streets, cities/towns, museums, schools, etc.) on the horizon for removal? Nation's capital could be renamed?
