Heinze is garbage, always has been pure garbage. Watching Demichelis at bayern he hasnt looked that impressive to me either. Especially on the big stage against rooney ect............Veron is 35, he cant be expected to play much. Samuels is very solid but thats it besides the forwards........they really are like the Holland of S.America like phenom said

I agree, the defence is not so bad. But i use only facts and statistics:

So, Argentina has 12 goals received for 10 games, that means - bad defence, BUT scores 16 goals on last 10 games. So this is the statistic. Brazil are the same.
I can not really understand why do the bookies give 8.8 odd(decimal odd) for Argentina. Before 10 days it was 9.9. The bookies think that Spain, Brazil and England have better chance to win. Spain - OK, Brazil - OK, but england are too far from the title. Where is Italy, Holland,France, Where is Germany?? Germany has 6 wins from 6 games - 21 goals scored(http://www.timescores.com/en/Soccer/...alia-Australia) . We only look at the players - Yes, Messi is maybe the best player this year, ok, Brazil has 2 teams from classic players, Spain has only stars, but is this so important?Argentina has a chance to win, i bet on this chance, but i am not sure, Spain too. There is another sure thing - Bet on Argentina, Spain, England and Brazil, you will have good profit.

Heinze aint that bad lol, has a big red card issue though , Demichelis is pretty solid, hes playing along side a very old and slow van buyten at Bayern so it makes his job x2 difficult, along side Walter he will look better. Veron is going to play every game, and is the centre piece, there pretty much is no replacement to Veron , who can do what he does, well maybe riquelme but maradona has beef with him lol.

Will be close between USA and ENG to 1st place IMO, England are being far over rated at the moment. Englands core strength was there Defence, it was a brick wall in Svens days, now its alot weaker, Rio and Terry look off and the Right back Johnson isnt to strong defensively, also if ashley cole doesn't play it will be a soft target.

More importantly though, something that has not been picked up by the press, England lack a good defensive mid which can break up opposition plays, somebody like maschrano, cambiassimo. Hargreevs would be but hes been out all season, Barry i feel is far over rated and his defensive game isnt so strong. That leaves Huddelstone, who lacks pace or cattermole who wont be selected. England will be easy to attack and will struggle without there past defensive solidarity.

Attackwise England is better then in past years, a good selection of strikers and mids that can bag some goals. However they lack a creative spark which could be required vs teams that park a bus lol

Group G is the best group, here will be the chance for the outsider - Ivory Coast, they begin with Portugal, than Brazil, and at the end with North Korea(http://www.timescores.com/en/Soccer/World_Cup/), i think that portugal are gone.And one more thing Group G plays with Group H (the group of Spain) So, Spain will watch very carefully Group G.

Otamendi is a very good defender, Samuel is top class, Heinze is not garbage neither is Demichelis, Argentina has one of the better defenses in this world cup, having Mascherano sitting infront of the defense is also a big advantage.

Veron still has it, any team who underestimates him and gives him space will get punished with pin point passes, there are very few players in the world who can do what Veron does, he is a special player.

Ivory wont make it out the group, its an un-balanced team, and im not sure if sven has the time to turn the team into a cohesive organized unit like it should be. I think N.Korea could provide an upset vs Ivory Coast
