All of you Tebow lovers miss the point. While his potential is still to be seen, the pick itself was a disaster. Denver needs all kinds of help. They have not seen a playoff game in 4 years. They have two QB's fighting for the position already. Now, they take a third QB, who certainly will not start this year (unless the injury bug hits) and may not even start next year. Now if Denver were a team with that is a perenial playoff team, and was looking to groom a player for 3 years from now, I could understand this. But Denver needs all kinds of help. By trading their second and third round picks, and taking Tebow in the first round, they have basically thrown in the towel for the next two seasons. They are gambling that Tebow will be the next John Elway. That is a huge gamble to take. The fact that it was Tebow that they selected does not bother me nearly as much as the fact that they gave up the immediate future bothers me. Had it been McCoy or Clausen, this trade would have been just as stupid.

There are safe picks and there are brave picks. Denver made a brave move and pick, brave risks pay off the biggest. Good is the enemy of great.

Denver still has 2 picks in the early half of the 2nd round tonight, and since when are Orton and Quinn such great Qb's? Is that why Holmgren let him go to get turnover prone Delhomme? Why isn't everyone bashing Holmgren for letting such a coveted player like Quinn go, Holgren must be an utter moron?

All this excessive Tebow hating is forcing me to become a bronco fan, something I always wanted to avoid. A guy with a 39 inch standing vertical, 4.7 sec 40, bench press 400+ lbs, and football smarts should just give it up now! If nothing else, Denver could run plays where Tebow runs and slides since the league protects the Qb so much.

Depends on what you mean by BUST. He might not make it at QB but he can play TE or H-Back for anybody in the league. He will play in the NFL, maybe not at QB.

Tebow has gone up against all the top QB's and out performed them all. Jamarcus Russell, Jevan Snead, Sam Bradford, Matthew Stafford, Tony Pike, etc. In each of those games he was head and shoulder's better than all of them. His accuracy is one of the highest ever in the SEC but idiots like Kiper and McShay say he has accuracy problems (while they drooled over Jamarcus Russell who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn). Tebow easily has been the best athlete on the field in every game he played including Percy Harvin and Louis Murphy. He's excelled at every level and is a tireless worker. Do you really think Brady Quinn is a better option? We already know that he hasn't done shit in several years.

This was a home run for Denver. Tebow will make an impact immediately in the red zone. Someone in Jacksonville needs their ass kicked because no way in hell were they supposed to let him go.
