No, the main difference between a winning gambler and a losing gambler is only making plays when you've done the research to back them up combined with proper bankroll management. Yes, luck is a factor to a very minor extent, say when a player throws up a shot from half-court and sinks the bucket to get you a win on your over by the hook, but even then... players practice those shots so....

I don't think Nobs is a bad person at all. I'm just not going to bother caring if I see another one of these threads pop up. And the fact that he came back on today and didn't even bother coming into this thread when so many people were pulling for him, is just low class in my little opinion. It's not like we could assume he just forgot about the thread altogether - some of the guys went into his EV thread to remind him and he ignored them completely.

Anyway, hope it all works out for him.
