Brock, I think probably it's just too hard to prove something like that. And also probably the girl did not want to even deal with her life being completely exposed and in the public eye. Settling out of court just made more sense.

I think the case could be made that people plan this stuff ahead of time, when they know they'll be out with some famous people.... but in this case, I don't think the girl would have gotten so drunk.... that hurt the "case" and was one of the reasons the DA didn't try this in court.... the victim also asked for them to not pursue it. as she didn't want to go through a trial..... which would be foolish if she was trying to get a settlement. We'll see if she brings a civil case.

how would going out to the media and screaming do anything to help his case? I'm sure it would make it much worse which is why his lawyers advised him to say nothing, just like everyone else in these types of things generally say as little to the media as they possibly can.
