#38I must say I dont travel up north much at all, and i've never even been to cali. But I have traveled all over 15 states, mainly in the southeast. DC, Dallas, Brownsville, Atlanta, Richmond, Raleigh, every one of these cities have very bad parts of town and I've been in all of 'em. But I really can't recall ever being scared anywhere I've been.Comment -

#39I always get a bit nervous when I notice that I'm on Martin Luther King drive. It doesn't matter what city. They're all dangerous. Is that irony?Comment -

#47i was just gonna write that. That area near 580 off of Canal St. near the Port. There is a liquor store across from the Burger King and that must be the daytime hangout for every thug in the Bay area.Originally posted by blackboxRichmond Ca.Comment -

#59Place spot for me is Indio California. I lived there 18 months. A drunk crashed into my apartment wall causing serious damage to the structure. I was asleep at the time. Any faster than the 25 miles per hour travel time and I was road kill in my own crib. The police arrested the guy a mile away. I moved out soon there after. There was also an issue with attempted i.d. thief. while I was there. This was near the police station and court house area. I was informed when I moved there that this was the better part of town. The north Indio area was reported to be much worse.Comment -

#61Pittsburg?? Are you serious. I always thought Antioch was the more crime ridden city.Originally posted by flyingilliniPittsburgh California, Hunters Point, Crestside of the ValleyJoe, Eddy St, parts of Norwalk.... All from Califas.
Vallejo is in my neck of the woods. Hard to believe the Crestside use to be a upper middle class suburban neighborhood over 40 years ago. Country Club Crest. Now, you don't want to get caught between any street off Mark Ave. Leonard, Janice, Sawyer and Wendy streets is dangerous, especially at night.Comment -
