#3Focus on past results when betting college sports, go back as far as possible to find information & trends.
Rosters very rarely change & programs are set in stone.
Taking road dogs closer to tip on Thursdays & Sundays always pays off.
If a college wins their football game that week, they typically cover the spread in their women's basketball matchup as well.
Don't bet over your limits & you'll be fine.

#4used to go to scores and odds. now go to odds . com. gives you the same thing. you need to click on team name to go to their games this year. but it does everything the first site did. you just need to experiment with it. good luck. By the way jj set me to their site.Comment -

#6I use a number of different sources. I start with USA Today's Sagarin' s rankings. It's a computer based system that takes into account records , weight of schedule , home and away etc. Once I have narrowed my search to a much smaller list , I look into past results of the teams involved, keying on stays like rebounding , shooting % etc. Then i throw the proverbial darts and hope for the best.
Good luck to youComment -

#7Thanks JJ. Up until now I thought " due diligence " in stats was the way to go. Now that I know I'm a loser , this should be much easier for me. I wasted 20 years as an institutional Bond Trader studying stats and trends for nothing.Comment -

#9The line of a game tells you quite a bit, other than that just watching a ton of games year in and year out help, find teams that are undervalued or overvalued based on how popular the school/players are.Comment -

But if you pay attention, you can spot bet for bigger amounts for sure.
I divide the bankroll and have made a stupid amount of money this fall betting stupid prices and maxing live bets and late in games to pick up a quick buck.
So far so good, especially golf. I can cap it, but sometimes don't pull the trigger until the tourney starts.
Been doing well but I'm sure I'll get zinged soon enough playing with those snakes.
So the grind is what it is, but sometimes we can get lucky with the spot bets and tremendous plays.
Fuk, she's hot...

#24I've been doing this way too long to expect to win enough money to live on. You just need the good heaters to be more profitable then the cold streaks. Go large in the right spots. Anyone who tells you that you can win at a high rate is full of shit . We all had that dream at one time or another that it would be really cool to do this for a living, until you get smacked a few times and your reminded of how much you really don't know and how much human emotion plays into this.Comment
