It depends on how long she has worked for the company and if she is a W2 employee

She should get a partial amount of what she made, not her whole salary
It is either 12 or 18 mos, I think
Are you sure her employer has paid their unemployment insurance??

You get unemployment for 26 weeks. You have to put in 3 work applications a week. usually it is half of what you make but there are minimums per state.

State never checks to see if you're actually looking for jobs. I was on unemployment for 4 months and my wife about 3, never once did anyone inquire about whether or not we were actively seeking jobs. I honestly don't think they start monitoring you unless you file for an extension of benefits - then maybe they might ask, but even then I've heard plenty of stories about assholes on unemployment for multiple years who never looked for shit.

Unless she is a 1099 company all companies have to pay into federal unemployment insurance. Now if she is a 1099 which means they don't deduct any taxes on her ... she won't get it. I think when i used to do the hud business we had to pay .006 % per 1 dollar we paid out but our 1099 people (which were sub contractors) we didn't.
