It's odd for him to write a suicide note addressing his stepson but no suicide note from his biological mother who was much closer to him. I mean is it possible he drugged her with the sleeping pills then gassed the room with carbon monoxide and then took some pills himself?

yes , i never heard of both willingly taking pills, then doing it, or hmm, murder??? both drugged and made it look like to be this. Would one talk one of it it or something. Makes no sense.

I don't think anyone said anything about a toxicology screen.

One could very easily walk into a house and see the car running a bunch of empty pill bottles by the bedside and draw conclusions.
