Player Survey Says That LeBron Will Stay In Cleveland
In a survey of 48 anonymous players conducted by ESPN during NBA All-Star weekend, the overwhelming sentiment was that James, who spurned the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2010 and left the Miami Heat in 2014 to return to his beloved northeast Ohio, will and should stay right where he is. Asked with what team James will sign this summer, 59 percent of respondents said the Cavaliers. Surprisingly, perhaps, an even larger share of players, 66 percent, believe that staying in Cleveland is James’ best option in free agency.

“Honestly, I’m hoping that he stays in Cleveland, just for that city,” one anonymous player told ESPN. “But I would definitely understand if he left. It’s a business. You see how they did Blake [Griffin] after bringing him in during free agency, telling him all of this and all of that, and then they trade him away.”

No one is going to win another championship while the Golden State Warriors are still around...

If James does decide he wants to join the Lakers, the LaVar Ball show won’t be a deterrent, according to 89% of the players surveyed. “If LeBron comes to L.A., then it’s the LeBron show. Not the Ball show,” said one Eastern Conference center.

Most of the survey respondents (80%) believe DeMarcus Cousins will re-sign with the Pelicans.

Only 33% of the players surveyed expect Paul George to be in the Thunder‘s opening-night lineup for 2018/19.

The respondents are slightly in favor (59%) of maximum salary contracts existing in the NBA’s Collective Bargaining Agreement. “LeBron, Steph and KD, all those guys bring a lot more than what they’re getting paid,” said one Western Conference guard. “But being a lower-tier salary guy myself, if you pay those guys even more, the lower guys on the totem pole don’t really get anything.”

Asked which teams make the best pitches to free agents, players chose the Celtics (27%), Heat (15%), Lakers (12%), and Warriors (9%), with nine other clubs receiving votes. One Eastern Conference guard on Boston: “If you bring Tom Brady? That’s pretty damn cool.”

Star players hopping around from team to team is killing the league.. What ever happened to playing for one team and retiring their jersey? Like the Larry Birds, Magic Johnson's, etc.. Even Michael Jordan and the bulls.

Those days are over in the NBA... It's diluted and teams are stacking all star players on them now.. There will only be 2 or 3 really good teams in the league soon and all the rest will be complete garbage..

I said it already early this season. He isn't going anywhere. He will sign 3 year deal.

I wonder what outlandish things Lavar Ball would say if Lebron did go to LA to stay in the headlines.
