Even though I approach gambling from the technical/mathematical point of view I do get that "rush" when I have a bet of 3 units or more on an event which is televised. It is something that I would prefer to be able to train myself out of but I guess we all need a way to release nervous energy.

I don't get down/depressed when I lose though (just a bump in the road), that should hold true for everyone as long as it is money you can afford to lose.

It is any form of gambling, we all think we can win at any form of gambling, if you are playing blackjack and have 16 showing and the dealer has a ace showing the feeling is unreal.. I feel like I just did 3 lines of coke and the tension is unreal, Carper there is no better feeling in the world waiting for the outcome. How about when betting and your bet is so close to the number with like 4 minutes to go>>> I pace up and down, jump around, fist pump, ect and the high lasts a long time.

Carper it is not about winning at all, you and I and many other bet for the high and to mask our massive social issues we all have.

How about when reality sets in late at night Carper where you think a fukkin spider is going to get into your ear when your sleeping and your afraid to close your fukkin eyes??? How about when you think a snake is in your fukkin closet and your fukkin shaking like a leaf??? Carper when you have action you do not think of these things and have the hangups.

      Gambling is better than Crack.

Im so dramatic gentlemen. I do this for the same reasons all of you do, and I play strictly with small percentages of disposable income.
I cry like a baby over losing $100 on a game, when its peanuts compared to our salaries.

I may be unlucky, but I'm also very dramatic I'm finding out. The boards are a great tool to unleash my frustrations, because we all know friends and family don't wanna hear about. Thanks for the support gentlemen. As much as you see me losing on here, I lose small amounts, and I rarely talk about my wins.

Plus. If you have to skip social events because you have to watch a game you bet on, then again, you need to move on from this. Truthfully, I would rather not watch the game I have a wager on. And never bet just because it is a TV game.
The problem with this is that the person who has a gambling problem is the least likely to quit. When it gets to this point the gambler is not going to quit.

Its very easy to say "if you have a problem then you need to stop". Almost impossible to actually stop if you have a problem. Almost always ends in disaster.

Yeah, its so pathetic he's probably almost the point of stealing SBR points from posters.

Hey Ralphie and Dr. Stale. I have no access to money, so I decided to play my 175 SBR points on a two teamer on both NIT games.
I took Dayton to hit my first leg, and just take a guess who I had on my second??? Notice I now have zero points (my SBR sportsbook also shows zero). If you guys watched the end of the game, you know why I have laughing for the last 5 minutes.

You would think I was joking too. I'm dead serious, I had to suffer and watch Rhode Island choke the game in regulation, and watch Rhode Island player get tripped with 2 seconds left, and probably would have either won the game or at least forced a 2nd OT.

I'm snakebitten, and the venom is destroying me.

I hate losing but the fun of winning makes up for it. Its peaks and valleys, i go on cold streaks and then i will get hot. The key is not to bet more money than you are cool with losing.

Just the possibility of winning alone keeps me in the game.

Another important aspect of why Sportsbetting is an addiction is that unlike other forms of gambling, Sportsbetting is something where we feel we can utilize our sports expertise, whether it is in the form of statisitics or from just watching many games to get a feeling of which team has momentum/hot.
