Any posters in the path of the Oroville Dam?

Huge story, but you wouldn't know about it because the media is fixated on politics

The countries tallest dam could fail soon

    200,000 people evacuated.

Could possibly reach as far as Sacramento

    huge disaster looming

Considering his XXXXXL Fresno St. T-shirt and jeans on his 5'3 body, there's probably a decent chance he gets swept off into the water.

One less junkie street rat around, would be great for his community.

Sounds like the water is going down and below the emergency spillway now, nothing coming over the emergency spillway which was the most dangerous for erosion.

That's kind of the nature of emergencies.

Yes, but anyone with half a brain knows not to trust the gubmint and that the dam was going to be a problem for people downstream. I would have been long gone at the first sign of trouble.

Plenty of media coverage, not sure why an idiot like DaneBlazer would say there isn't. f in dumb ass. Fresno is 4 hours south of the dam, doubt they will see much flooding lolol, ever learn how to read a map Mickey Mouse, f in dumb ass.

Dam is not going to fail. Lots of reinforcement work being done. Several days of sun should help.

Live just north of there....Office is out of O-ville...So got the day off. Main concern is the auxiliary dam overflow erosion damage .
Short term...Fill the hole in front of the auxiliary dam.
let enough water out so the can see the damage of the spillway before the next round of rains hit.
In 97 we had well over 100000 cfs coming out and down river was fine except for some minor flooding near riverbend park.If the auxillary dam fails you would have a bunch of Muddy water(think cement) hitting the train /bridge crossing which could back up the flows

What is interesting, Is last week at the office we knew it was going hit the auxiliary spillway (1400000 cfs coming in 65000 cfs going out on average) simple math lake is filling up duh . They said " everything is ok no problems" what a load of B.S.

The 12 noon press conference is a waste of time.

What they did... why they did it..... yada yada yada

They need to focus what's being done.
Goals they are trying to achieve.
Timelines based on the SME's .
    they are chasing their tails...
    .

get some bullet train money and put it to better use

Hopefully things have stabilized and they can repair the dam before more rain hits. The reports this morning sounded a little grim

Where I live we've had a drought since last summer, lake with a dam there also, you could literally see land where the lake was supposed to be, we can use some of that water. Literally went 4 or 5 months without a drop of rain.

    It has, and It was.
The frustrating thing is that DWR hasn't been doing a good job of saying what is happening.. Going from " no problem"
To "GTFU now " in less than 24 hrs isn't good communication with the community. They should have started earlier in the week with " Hey just might want to pre plan some things in case something goes wrong" Instead people were just beating feet.... trying to get gas etc when the evac orders were given.
