Its better than being broke thats for sure.
I became successful after figuring out procrastinating and generally being lazy was getting me no where. Took a couple of decades.

Johnny address the glitch in the sportsbook/wallet. I could have 32000 points right now in the sportsbook. I can transfer 8points at a time that I shouldn't have

Shrink has a net worth of about $5 million. T I bet you have $5,000 to your name. This guy cracks me up with his money talk. Took him a year to pay off bookie debts yet he is a millionaire.
John is probably worth 3 to 5.

What was the catalyst for stopping procrastination/being lazy? Any strategies you can share?

I always had a lot of ideas for business. I would read pubs like Entrepreneur Monthly to see how others were doing it. It finally came to a head for me when I lost my rather cush $70k job as a top chef. I stopped everything that worked against me and got into shape. In those first depressive detox months during exercise I decided I would learn how to make a website. I bought a cheap website editor called FrontPage and made 15 different websites with 15 totally different concepts. Sportsbookreview showed the most promise so I began focusing on a complete concept which is what you see today.
In hindsight the best thing that ever happened to me was losing my $70k a year job where I had 10 years in. It depressed me and from there I made radical changes. My advice would be start now with the planning and get rid of anything that pulls you down including gambling, weed and booze. Your plan should include an hour of exercise every day. You will be shocked how free your brain will think if you follow this very simple advice.

That's right. I didn't for a few years while I was creating SBR.
No one likes to party more than me. I could blow a pinner with coffee in the am and after work drink a few beers in the car on the way to a bar to play pool and finish with a crushing double of Wild Turkey straight up and a fatty. There is a time for just about everything. If you want to build and make a million or two then you must put all those aside and clean your azz up. The challenge will produce a high, getting in shape and working hard on your own stuff will feel good and it will build on itself if you will make the change and really go for it.

John, sound advice but unfortunately for some of us the thing in our way happens to be capital and or credit. Ideas are great and many of us have plenty but there has to be a means to take those ideas to the next level and I for one spent my early years ruining my credit and blowing my money.
Life is different now. I pay my bills on time and even early. I spend what I have available to spend and nolonger spend what's coming before it arrives. I still gamble but within my means and never beyond. I am a better man now because of the one I was before but my past has still severely hampered my future.
If you are still young and have those great ideas and a clear focus on your path then learn from the successes and failures of those around you. Thier are valuables lessons in both.

This may be the best thread on SBR.
I only wish these young kids like Pecos, Sammy, et al would realize what it takes to be successful.
Well written John.

This is shocking news. Up to this day I was under the impression that jjgold created this site and you stole all his work because he didn't patent it. So one of the two must be fibbing. I wonder who?

That advice isn't good for your business here John. LOL
In my mind I had thought you started this forum in a completely different way, John. I had always figured that you were a life long gambler. And that you had spent many years on the RX, covers, and multiple other forums before starting up SBR. I guess I was way off. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
