As long as there are , 9 (or however many there are) sanctioning bodies for World Championships, it will remain in its moribund state.

Talented athletes from developed countries have lots of other opportunities in terms of sports these days, the number pursuing boxing has inevitably declined.

MMA will die too I think, doubt the casual fan will wanna pay every single month where only one good fight is on the card. I only pay attn if GSP, or silva are fighting and rest I dont care about.
