No one is gonna waste their time ripping that documentary. Maybe one day if it gets released on Netflix. It costs $5.00 to rent but by the sounds of it maybe u should that $5 for something productive.

i watched it last night, pretty interesting doc. it dragged a little but overall it was good. i met Lem Banker once at the stardust. i asked him who he likes and he gave me the cold shoulder. Vegasrunner has a small part in it also. that guys stories are awesome but he didint get much air time. i never knew shrink committed suicide. i used to read his posts back in the day.the other 2 guys i never heard of.

Watched it. Was better than that fukkin film with Ryan Reynolds called Mississippi Grind.

Shit man I just started watching that. I'm at the point where the dude gets shanked outside the bar. Is it worth finishing? I'm into the gambling and Vegas genre type movies so I figured I'd give it a go.

Dude, that movie was awful. It was a typical generic gambling movie... SPOILER ALERT<spoiler alert=""> <spoiler alert=""> Guy makes some money. Then guy looses all the money. Then guy gets back the money and then some. And a whole bunch of silly bullshit in between.

Most gambling movies.. all have the same premise, narrative arc and ending.

If you want to be entertained I suggest the Richard Munkin podcast "Gambling with an Edge". Guy is an advantage player in the blacjack hall of fame (co-hosts it Bob Dancer, an advantage video poker player who is pretty stale) but from time to time they will have tremendous guests on their show who are real life winners with the most amazing true life stories. At least to me, their true life stories are much more entertaining than the typical, predictable Hollywood bs that gets spewed year after year.</spoiler></spoiler>

Just watched it on Google Play. Didn't think it was as bad as you all did. Was almost screaming at the screen to show Boston's coke problem so people would stop feeling so sorry for him, and they finally did. Was put together well, and was not just a bunch of goomba touts making shit up (they did a whole satire of that very thing halfway in).

And no movie did more to over-romanticize poker than Rounders. Not a big fan. They left the parts out about getting coughed on, listening to people's dumb one-liners, people being too drunk to know it's their turn, and rouge Asians coming an and trying to maniac the table into submission. That's 95% of the poker experience, and Rounders conveniently ignored this.
