    Vegas for NCAA Tourney

    Sup y'all-

headed to Vegas for the second weekend of the tourney (s16 and elite eight) staying at Caesars.

Anyone got tips for a first time Vegas-er? 23 years old recent college grad looking to gamble party and meet girls.

Also like to puff greenery if anyone has insight into strictness and/or pot culture there.

    cheers to all

Get a cabana at Club Rehab (pool party at Hard Rock)

Spend a night downtown in old lad vegas - Fremont Street experience - cheap $2 bottles of coronas and heinekins, good gambling and walking around type night.

Clubs a bit overrated IMO, don't spend $500 and 3 hours waiting in line - and without girls you will never get a group of guys into a hot club without paying a club promoter.

Cosmo & PH are fun party/gamble spots

Games start early - hardest thing about when I was 23 in Vegas was getting any sleep. You gamble/party all night long and games start at 9am. I learned to put the 9am games in the night before (remember books not open all night -at least werent 10 years ago) and then do rock paper scissors for who had to get the 11am games in.

TLDR: make sure you put the early games in the night before if you like anything on the early slate.

I would still just bet w/ my local and save cash for partying/other gambling unless I was playing a huge play or just trying to slam a round robin...

dont get a cabana-way over priced in my opinion

do a big group dinner with whoever you have going in your group one of the nights. We went to craft steak one year our group- really good steaks.

games dont start quite as early in those rounds (16 and 8) so dont feel like you need to get up super early. Even still, watch the first games in your room while you are recovering then go watch the games at a sportsbook. It's not nearly as crowded that weekend as it is the opening weekend.

go to treasures strip club. Its off the beaten path, but you will not be disappointed

also, get everyone in your group to make the same bet. way more fun doing that and you can all celebrate the winner together.

If you are looking for tail, remember a lot of the girls are there for same reason you are. Don't waste too much time on one of it doesn't seem like it will end how you want. Vegas is whole different world for most - including me.

I agree with a few others. Save on the cabana for now. Do that when you either have some girls or bigger group with you. Get your feet wet this year and plan how to do it better next year!

I agree with Dom, stay away from the clubs. Waste of time and money, plenty of woman walking around anyways. I also liked hanging around the old strip. Some cool old time bars over there that beers are cheap.

Won't see many locals at the book. Local Books all have phone apps now. Everybody in town betting from home, work, or car.
As long as your phone is in the state of Nevada, you can bet anywhere.
Don't have to stand behind everyone picking their 10 teamers off the sheet at the window.
LVH just remodeled. Lots of windows and screens. Major upgrade from the dive it was becoming.

Coach I got blasted last year, just ask Booya, he met up with me about 12 deep already and we ripped shots til I blacked out. Great time. I made sure to get all my bball bets in earlier in the day.

your sharper serious player uses the app of course some squares on it but day to day people still like to go and bet cash

Lose way more on app than in person just like online books

question on the mobile betting. Can anyone use the apps as long as they're in Nevada, like you said? Or does it require some physical setup or paperwork at the book first? Also how does cash out then work....Never used the apps before obviously, thanks for any info

As long as you're in Nevada anyone can use apps although you have to go there first and set it up with paperwork it takes approximately 10 minutes and you cash out at the book anytime you like

Yup - Some places you have to get a players card, then go over to the book. But it doesn't take long at all. You can cash out anytime.
