either one is exceptable, both bound to get you harassed which you were anyway so might as well have some fun....number 2 may even get you a future law suite if you really hit a nerve and he's got any balls (which is doubtful as most cops dont).....the key after you say these things is to keep walking like he is not even there until you get to a spot were other ppl can witness the ensuing harassment, refuse to give him any id as you have done nothing wrong and he has no right to ask for it in the first place and inform him of this...i like this approach as when being harassed i prefer to turn the tables and become the harasser

If you indeed did tell the cop to fuk off, he would have every right to beat you within an inch of your life.

The only thing I would ask the cop to do is wait about 5 minutes so I can get some popcorn and enjoy the show.

it's such a double edged sword... cops wonder why we f*ckin can't stand them half the time considering they behave like this and randomly question people/give out bogus tickets just because they need to meet a quota or whatever reason... but at the same time, we obviously need them. You know in Florida the officer not only has the legal right to ask for ID but every person in Florida has the legal obligation to have ID on them at all times. I was ognorant to this fact until a couple of years ago when I got pulled over on the way home from playing golf. The third guy in our group wanted to get lippy with the cop because the officer asked him for his ID and my buddy decided to make a case for not being the driver and not having to provide ID. The cop quickly and correctly set him straight. Thing was the cop wasn't being a dick about the situation my buddy was and I am wanting him to shut up cause I was the one doing 55 in a 45 and as it turned out driving on a suspended license which I never knew was suspended. I had changed insurance carriers and in the switch my old carrier submitted my name as being dropped and I never notified the state of my new carrier and it was all a mix up but I was still in the wrong legally. Still got away without getting a ticket.
