Won't be as bad as you think. I had a more difficult root canal then I guess most of them are and it still went off without a hitch!

just back home, working from home this afternoon, almost zero pain, probably worst thing, to this point anyway, was the needle to numb me up, the rest was cake. In fact he should have done all this a long time ago.

Total cost of crown and root canal out of pocket after insurance is 600 bux, pretty pricey, but a rare occurrence. anyway, seems all good for now, go back for the permanent crown in less than 2 weeks now.

nope, advil will suffice.

seems like the tooth was pretty much dead, so he could tell it wasn't gone to be problematic.

Had one 7 years ago man. Not as painful a preocedure as it used to be. And that was in 03. BOL

not too painful, the hardest part is keeping ur mouth open for that long.

As I said in my thread from a few years back. Root canals are overrated. If you are numbed up, you have no problem. Worse thing is the shot, and the few hours you sit there with your mouth open.

crack IS expensive nowadays....

if you have a skilled dentist, it wont hurt that much tommorow because he is essentially removing the nerve. if either you or him is shaking or moving a lot, well, its gonna suck when you are no longer numb

Never saw this thread until now, yeah my root canal was not that bad. Uncomfortable was the worst I could call it.

Root Canals are painless, except for the needles to numb up!

The rough part is later that night and the next day when you try to eat or drink!

i am amazed how good this feels, had i known it would be this simple, and this much a difference maker, i would have done this 8 years ago.

So far, less than 24 hours in, perfect. I feel like a different person.

Then the rest of your teeth start to collapse. I had a bridge put in where I had a tooth pulled. I can't be having gaped teeth.
