For the exception of the hurricanes, Florida hands down is the place to be! You need to drive 3 hours to get anywhere in Las Vegas. The climate isn't all that great year round in Nevada. The mexican chicks do it too. That's only down on the strip between the Monte Carlo and IMperial Palace. By the time you get to TI and the WYNN they are gone.

LOL. I was thinking that myself. I can get to the Hoover Dam in about 50 minutes from Summerlin. Apparently, he doesn't know the Bunny Ranch is near Reno and not Vegas. So I really don't think he knows much of what he speaks.

fishead VEGAS forget florida thats for the dying, location is awful once in florida your stuck , where are you going to drive to in 4 hours ,at least vegas 4 hours you can be in 20 great locations, humidity also sucks ,vegas you can escape to the mountains

Vegas for me. I've visited both places several times. As a kid, Florida was the best, but now I have to go with Vegas.

Fla is the place to be. Big difference is the beach, really the west coast is best. You can not beat a day on the Gulf!!

You have lived in both, so why ask strangers for opinions. Personally, the property taxes and insurance are not worth it in Florida. Thus the mass exodus from there. You can probably find a house real cheap in Vegas right now.

Your dead on, the property taxes and insurance are ridiculous in Florida, expecially when compared to Florida...............and housing is more expensive on top of that. In addition, houses in Florida are always in danger(sinkholes, hurricanes, flooding).

Good luck if you decide to move. Now is not time to sell. I just moved and have two friends renting my lake home. It only covers the mortgage, but I would lose my ass if I sold. Hopefully the housing market recovers in the next couple of years.
