WHY would the wizards do this? Josh Howard. Hes decent at best. Caron Butler was the only reason they won the few games that they did.

Underachieving team, that for the most part has had the same core of players for a few years now, what have they accomplished? NOTHING! So eventually you have to make changes.They did it for some luxury tax relief I imagine.....why would you, as a losing franchise want to pay extra money for your team? Its ok if your the Mavs,Spurs etc to go over...you have a chance to win!
They just got rid of around 20 million dollars in salaries..Haywood makes 6, that comes off the books next year...then Stevenson and Butler combined will hit the Mavs with 12 million of there cap space.The Mavericks have little or no space to do anything this off season unless its through the draft or trading, It's win now or nothing for them, there not getting any younger....As far as Howard,he may just be a rental...He makes 10 million this year, then has a team option for next year at 11 million......He is not worth that kind of money! Gooden & Singletons contracts will be gone next year too.....a total savings of about 15 million.My guess is they are not done either....anyone want Jamison?Comment -
