3 games today , with an exciting match at 1pm est to start , between Brazil & Japan.....
Brazil vs Japan : 1pm @ Houston , Texas
Japan come into this game riding a 10 game undefeated streak ( 7 wins , 3 draws ). One of those victories was a 3 - 2 win over Brazil on Oct 14 , 2025 in Tokyo , Japan. In that game , Brazil fielded a team that has little resemblance to the starting 11 today. Brazil started the tournament with a tight draw against Morocco , where they seem to be out of sorts for most of the 1st half. The biggest issue imo , was the lack of link up play between the midfield and lone forward Thiago. For their next 2 group games , Ancelotti chose to play an agressive 4-3-3 formation that featured Cunha sandwiched between Vinisius Jr and Raphina. The change created immediate results, as Brazil scored three 1st half goals against Haiti ( 2 by Cunha and 1 by Vinicius Jr ) to seal the deal early. The 3rd group game vs Scotland was a mirror image from the Haiti victory, scoring 3 1st half goals ( 1 taken away by VAR ), to seal the deal early once again. Japan had an opportunity to win the group over Netherlands , by goal difference , if they could score early and often against Sweden. That game proved to be a very close encounter that resulted in a justified 1 - 1 draw.
Germany vs Paraguay : 4:30pm
This isnt a dominant German side by any means , and has little resemblance to winning teams of the past. Thats not to say that they lack in overall talent , its there in abundance. The issue is a matter of prime time experience for a very young side still attempting to find a set starting 11 that mesh. Todays opponent Paraguay, wont offer a formidable resistance imo , due in large part to the same issues they experienced against the US. They have some very old legs by soccer standards, and lack the pace to deal with 90+ minutes of high energy football. The opening game against the US , exposed that very issue from the opening whistle. Players like Almiron (32) , Velazquez (35) , Gomez (33) and Avales ( 35) couldnt keep pace with Balogun , Pulisic , McKennie etc , and it was essentially over before it even began. The next 2 games may have had different results , a 1 - 0 win over Turkey and a scoreless draw with Australia. Even though they defended well against Turkey , with 10 men second half due to Almiron's sending off , they were on the back foot throughout. Against Australia in the last group game , they were thoroughly out played and fortunate to come away with a draw. My 2 cents
The late game between Netherlands and Morocco should be another entertaining game. I am still on the fence in that game and lean to the Over 2.5. These 2 wagers for now....
Brazil @ 1.80 ( 1 unit )
Germany -1.5 @ 2.05 ( 1 unit )

Love Haaland and Odegaard's sense of humor. 2 ladies from next door to a house they are renting , dropped by unexpected.....Too funny

Feeling similar thoughts. The Dutch are deep and used their bench well throughout. I think they may have an extra gear down the stretch ( Morocco have an extra day's rest, but needed the A team to win late against Haiti )
The Over 2.5 is plus $$ @ 2.20 / +120 range. The Dutch play fast and furious. Dont recall too many unders in their games

Brazil escaped but they aren't winning this thing. They were+3000 to win it all live at the hf DK.

My gut feeling says Portugal cruise through Croatia ( @ 1.85 range )on Thursday. That PSG midfield should own the middle of the pitch. Game is played in T.O , where a large Portugese fan base resides. Any thoughts ?

Portugal probably move on but they haven't shown much. I can't play that game and betting against Croatia is a tricky venture. They are so smart and should be well prepared. I'm probably going to be in Toronto for that. Not at the game though.
