He will go down top five ever to play the game in my opinion! Just still don't like him! Maybe it is because I am a Nuggets fan!

I used to hate Kobe and everything Lakers, but the more I learn about all sports and the more I watch Kobe, I realize that he's becoming more fun to watch (a stunning year with a broken finger? ridiculous) and holding grudges against certain teams is just pointless

Kobe is not now, nor will he ever be, a truly great team player. This is the still greatest reason why I hate him. He alienates teammates much like MJ did and he lives in his own bubble.

A few years ago when Allen was still in Seattle, he was asked a few questions about Kobe(shaq had recently been traded to Miami). Before this, there was no bad blood between the two, at least publicly. Allen came out and said kobe was "selfish", and that in a few years Kobe would be crying to Jerry Buss for help. He went on to say that if Kobe scores a lot of points w/o Shaq on the team, it's meaningless b/c they can't win a championship without shaq. Needless to say, Kobe was pissed, and he still hasn't let it go. He still busts Ray Allens ass on and off the court every chance he gets.

They said the same thing about Jordan. In the end, you can't argue with all the championships.

Certainly Kobe's a great player but having Shaq and Gasol helps a bit. Kobe is not the slightest bit likable to me. Jordan was slightly likable only because he did a better job at hiding who he truly was...until his Hall of Fame speech of course.

Jordan had Pippen, possibly the 2nd best player in the league, top 5 at worst. Also, Kukoc, who was only underrated b/c he came along before the huge influx of europeans. Kukoc came into the league as the best from europe, from what we now know about overseas players, that's really saying something. Also, for the last 3 championships he had Dennis Rodman. Say what you want about him but he was a tenacious defender, one of the best in the league, and the best rebounder in the NBA.
Now, don't get me wrong, Kobe has some great players around him, but so does every great player who's won a championship.
You can't hold it against Kobe that his team has talent.
