She's got a point. Although I must insert the flip side would be if the group is happy to be gone why are they still talking about SBR? Both are fair questions. For me the furtherest back I remember were the Fishhead, JJGold, Sickgambler, BeanTownJim days. I started in 2000 and I would guess the other guys mentioned were pretty close, maybe even earlier. What sites did you post on what was your user name if you can remember? Fun to look back ever now and then.

In fact one NCCABB tourney Bookmaker (CRIS at the time) sponsored a pretty good contest. Oh shit, that NFL Contest was the shit....especially in the beginning years before it expanded to 7 picks (ATS of course) from 5 and software was installed that where people got shut out from getting a week's picks in so wholly screwed pegged with -33 units

Not taking anything away from the NCAAB contest of course but the NFL one was 10K and I believe winner take all SOME(?) year(s).

BAGiant won it way back, like, 2003 or so then won it again pretty much its last year. I thought that was appropriate. BAGiant was a legendary poster at PST.

None of those people, truth be told, wanted to abandon what they had here. Truth won't be told though, pride and the lust for celebrity...even internet celebrity is too strong.

SBR gets to decide who the "celebrities" are here. Vegas Dave did not have what they wanted. Justin is way to mellow to ever become an internet celebrity. Thats likely how he likes it though.

Bread will never be an internet celebrity. Reality of that might cause him to mold.

Jello could definitely be an internet celebrity...has all the "components".
