Kiffin was USC's 5th choice (desparation) they got what they deserved. He is being used by USC. why did the previous 4 prospects turn down the job??????????Because the NCAA is about to lower the hammer on USC.......Kiffin will be gone as soon as the storm is weathered in say 2 or 3 years.....In his press conference he said he wanted to run a clean program.......He had 6 violations in 1 year at Tenn...

since UT hates Kiffin so much they should be glad he's gone, if they're angry it means they want him, any way it's up to UT
what they are really mad about is that Kiffin preferred SC to UT, that their coach ranked SC higher than UT
wake up UT, there are schools in the SEC that rank higher than UT and there is still Notre Dame, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and a few in the Big Ten that rank higher than UT
take heart that you still rank higher than South Carolina (SC)

Seems like a perfect fit for USC.
He will probably win a few national championships there, and then all this outrage will be long forgotten.

Where would you rather coach? It is really that simple. A second rate program like Tennessee, or a contending program like USC, the team that continually kicks the asses of SEC teams. So much, in fact, that SEC teams are afraid to schedule USC now. I mean if TEnnessee could not even beat UCLA, how bad are they? His legacy? He covered against both Alabama and Florida.

because I'm sure people in Tuscaloosca and Gainesville were hanging their heads those weekends because Tennessee covered against them.

Who cares about the hicks in Tuscaloosa and Gainesville. KIffin did as good a job at Tennessee as could be expected. The program has been going downhill for a long time. When was the last time they won an SEC title? Tennessee is a 2nd echelon program. Like other second tier programs, they occasionally come with a good year, but never challenge consistantly. They simply can not compete with the 1st echelon programs like Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and LSU, who compete on a consistant basis. With the hiring of Dooley, don't look for this to change anytime soon.

Every season, Tennessee must play Florida and Alabama. This year, they get both of them at home. Both Florida and Alabama have taken major defection and graduation hits on the defensive side of the ball. 'Bama has now lost 9 players on the defensive side of the ball that were listed as starters this past season. They also lose their kicker and punter. Florida loses 7 starters on defense, plus their kicker. So let's see what Tennessee does against those two depleated defenses. IN the end, you will see that one year HC's do not leave legacies.

not that I thought Kiffin created a legacy in Tenn.

so now coaches have accomplished something major if they cover the spread according to BigDaddy
wonder if the ADs and fans of programs feel the same way?

LOL, you really show your ignorance here. TN is 21-16-2 all time vs Georgia including a beatdown they gave them this past year. They are 20-6-3 vs LSU. They are 19-20 vs Florida. Florida does have a much better program right now but they are only 1 Ron Zook away. 38-47-7 vs Bama which is better than most in the conference. Just a few years ago there was an 8 game win streak vs them. What if Saban goes to the NFL again? Do some fact checking first. Thanks.

BTW TN is #9 in college football all-time wins.

I care about the hicks in Alabama....I am one.....You are the Rush Limbaugh of this forum, outspoken, rude, self proclaimed know-it-all, any one can sound emphatic and intelligent after the fact....How hard is it to tear something down or pick something apart after it happens. Some how in your time here you have placed yourself in the upper tier of posters, and it is self proclaimed. You are wrong on every account about the SEC.....remember people who live in glass houses shouldnt throw rocks. Get your facts right before you let your bullshit fly..
