What you are saying makes sense in broad terms. Certainly it would be a bad idea to just sell points randomly.
However I am constantly doing research and have found angles - talking about certain point ranges and/or line movement situations - where it simply pays more when you sell the point even with the increased juice. The amount you lose on wins that become pushes/losses and pushes that become losses, is more than compensated for with the increased payout on wins.
In some cases the difference is quite dramatic. So much so that it has become a high priority in my ongoing research to investigate more point selling opportunities.

bet365 is very nice at this. you can buy 3 points at a game, sell 2 on another and so on....all on the same ticket...so you're not forced to buy 4 points each match

Dude please buy a clue. It is very easy to spot where the value is in selling points with the half-point calculator.

I have found many opportunities when playing dead NFL numbers at 5 Dimes on their Alt lines. Maybe you should do some research next time before continuously making general statements only to be proven wrong.

It is when the alt lines are all within two points of the straight line in half-point intervals. It is the exact same thing.

You don't get my point...there is no need for 5D to "sell points" by using alt lines.
Different lines on many books, like one has -3 -105 and the other -3.5 +110 or whatever, some square book has -2.5 WHATEVER.
This is about selling points via a drop down menu. If you can show me a book where you can do that and get value, you win.

Actually, I totally forgot that 5 Dimes changed their interface and they DO now have the buy/sell dropdown box. So there is your answer, 5 Dimes ofter has sell value at dead numbers. You probably won't find any value there this week though.

I do see a teenie weenie opportunity where 5 Dimes is 1 penny favorably off. You will see bigger opportunities other weeks though when the spread are not all so close to 3 or Pick.
