College play-offs would be the same way......Once a team knew they were in they would not play their best the last few games resting starters.....BCS like it or not, each regular season game means something.......But I do see the need for a plus 1 or something

The correct playoff system would be 1-4 or the actual BCS being the playoff. I think the people wanting a 16 team system or something are freaking nuts.

I disagree. College has waaaay more teams and only a few playoff spots. What team could ever take a week off? Could a team like Boise, Cincy, TCU, even Texas, Bama or UF take a week off and guarantee a spot in an 8 team playoff? They would be on the bubble. Plus the 1st round of the playoffs should be played at home sites. That way there is no way a team would tank when they would have to travel to another teams site.

The problem with the NFL is that there's too many teams that get into the playoffs. If there were only 4 teams in each conference, no team could tank.

I believe the fix is in quite a bit... Especially watching the refs in college football in the south! But this was pretty pathetic watching everyone in on it from the refs to the players on both teams...hopefully they passed this onto their family members before the game!
