Wow, guys dropping passes after they actually catch it. DBs not even breaking on receivers routes. Guy's stumbling and falling with no one tackling them. One team playing hard the other playing at 50%...

The NFL has gotten comical the last few weeks of every season. How can the NFL say they are a professional organization.

Cinci is giving themselves a better chance to go further in the playoffs. It's smart business on their end.

Happens in all the sports. I am not sure there is a way around it. Teams should do whats in their best interest and not the leagues.

Agreed Mac4lyfe, Pathetic. They need to do something with the draft spots or some kind of bonuses or
a "No drug test " Card(redeemable, anytime in 2010) to every player to actually try the last week.

Why even play the game. Just forfeit so noone gets injured and just show up next week for the real game. This is embarrassing and makes the league look like a sham. I blame the Colt's for starting this shit.

Cinci - 12 plays 7 yards Time of possession 4:55
                        Jets - 44 plays 251 yards TOP 24:28

Houston Texan's never had a chance of making the playoffs tonight folks. Why even give them a glimmer of hope when we all knew what side Cinci was on.

and the announcers are pathetic as well. They are actually trying to convince us that the Jet's are playing lights out on both sides of the ball...

At least Pops let's you know prior to the game that his guys won't play. Marvin Lewis said he would play his guys but never told you that they would play at half speed... He made anyone that played Cincy look like imbeciles...

The fans (not their fans) get the last laugh though. They will kill any type of rhythm or momentum they had. I can't wait for the Colts to lose again. You won a first round bye for a reason you old stubborn fukk owner. It's bit that senile fukk in the ass before and he does it again. Apparently they don't watch the bowl games. Having 3-4 weeks off will KILL you. Especially going up against teams that fought their way in or weren't as ****ing stupid as you.

Are the Jets the biggest joke to ever make the NFL playoffs? I remember Arizona made it with an 8-8 record a while back but actually WON and EARNED their way in. They didn't go up against clinchers dogging it. They also won in round 1. Hope the Jets get spanked in Cincy next week.

You would think those assholes would realize the one time they went to the Superbowl was when they played tough every game. Every time they dogged it they've exited the playoffs early.

I also can't wait for them to get ass raped in a couple of weeks...

Carson Palmer is 1/11 for 0 yards and 1 int. Its not like the Bengals are resting their starters. The starters are just giving a half assed effort and the Jets are molesting them for it. If thats the case, just bench the assholes. I'm sure the backups who have been waiting all year to play would give a better effort.

Why play the game? The same reason why 99% of americans work 9-5 jobs. Money.

Think about all the money the jets orginization would lose if all of those fans there today didn't come to the game.

and in all honesty if I were them I'd rather play the Jets than the Texans. Texans should have taken care of business and they wouldnt be in that position...but yeah, this is a shame.

Dane it's not about effort. This is their gameplan. They want to play the jets next week at home. I gurantee you their coaches told all the players exactly to play this way. It's thats not obvious to you than you are not paying attention.

Teams come out with vanilla or simple game plans before the playoffs all the time. Look at the Cards. I guarantee you that the game will be close next week. I just don't understand why they are doing it with the starters in the game.

the fix is in and anyone with half a brain knew about it.
cashin a ticket has never been so easy
You would have thought Vegas would have caught on and the line would have been Jet's -40

I'm just kicking myself that I didn't bet the house on this one

It's the NFL's fault for making this the primetime game. Maybe this game isn't a joke if it's at 1:00. I heard talk that the Bengals may actually try to win, especially if the Pats lost. It would make a little sense to move up to the 3 spot and they've been through a lot lately so a win would build something positive going into the playoffs. I suppose that line of thought would make sense...except with how everything unfolded they'd much rather play the Jets than the Texans. I wonder if they would do the same thing had the Broncos won.

I like the idea of playing all the games at the same time but the only problem with that is if a game ends early... Then you find a team like Cinci running into their own endzone for safeties over and over again.

should be a black eye for the NFL. But they're raking in the network money and laughing. The only thing that will change this is if Cincy, Colts , Saints et al get beaten soundly in playoffs.

wasn't there some weird scenario years ago where green bay had to outscore someone they weren't playing by a certain amount of points and the two teams kept letting their opponents score over and over again so they could get the ball back?
