I would love to see the jets knock them out of the playoffs now.

those of you questioning the decision to sit starters would be BLASTING the colts brass if peyton, reggie wayne, dallas clark, or some other key player had torn up a knee in the 4th quarter of a meaningless gm (meaningless for hm field advantage thru the playoffs) when the player should have been sitting on the sidelines
i know how this works. i know you better than you know yourselves
most of you questioning the decision are INCAPABLE of understanding real world theories and practices of knowing a decision is a right one BEFORE the results play out. hindsight is always 20/20
you're the same guys who cringe at a poker table when you have to lay down 7-2 offsuit but see the flop come out 7-7-2........you go on tilt for the rest of the night and get busted from your chips.............. you'd have to be of a higher thinking mind to put out of your mind what happened from what COULD not have happened

Beaner the bottom line is that im whipping ur arse in the Freaks contest and i took the Jets knowing the NFL was up to something in that game and u took Indy u sap. Now go pay Sparks his 200 unless u want me to give u five picks for next Sunday. I would be leading that contest if i didn't get fuked out of two games.

Why would they do that? They are the ones who benefited just as much as the other crooks involved.

Oh i am sorry you are correct I do not know anything about gambling simply because I have only posted on this site 22 times nothing compared to the legends 450 posts.....
Guess I just figured that 15 years of gambling experience was good I did not know that the amount of posts you had on sbr effected your status as a handicapper!!!!!!
Guess I just figured that since indy clenched, jets had something to play for and not to metion the reverse line movement of 4 points was a give me for an experienced handicapper.
But than again I am a handicapper and not an sbr legend so I do not make sucker bets and than cry when I lose.
Game rigged?????
no believe it or not team owners like to make value bets too and winning a superbowl pays far more than an undefeated season, which is why every team in this situation in the last 20 years besides the '72 dolphins and the patriots benched their starters.
Undefeated superbowl runner ups.....lol......how many t-shirts did that sell? how many hats? how did that work out for the patriots???????

Good question actually, I'm in Tempe AZ and managed to score 20 Patriots SuperBowl Champion XXLwhatever Glendale AZ T-Shirts that were printed waiting (shirts with both teams as champs are printed up prior, the non-applicable ones whisked away after game....never to be seen again) actually the day before the game...later sold 2 on eBay for $40 + shipping each before NFL (or someone) got my ad pulled.
The shirts were never supposed to have gotten into the hands of "public" of course...NFL supposedly keeps a pretty tight reign on such.
I guess thats accurate...ad only made it 3 days later sold the rest Via Boston Craigslist.
So the answer is "20 shirts".
Could have been more though if I'd had more shirts.
Damn bean, that dude Thor lit your ass up in the post wherein he declared he's whuppin your ass and that you're a dumbshit for betting Colts.

They dont want to take away any preseason games, they want to push the superbowl back 2 weeks so it will be on presidents day weekend, and then Superbowl Sunday will fall on a day where people dont have to work the following morning as a lot of people have Monday, presidents day off. But the players union wont go for it because they feel it will lead to more injuries. They cant shorten the pre season to 2 games.

fix, no fix, my big problem with it is that he was so cavalier about tossing away a perfect season. He said that a perfect season didn't mean that much to the franchise, but what about the players? That's a crappy thing to do to the players that got you there.

Bottom Line(s):
1. Colts DON'T care what u think. They have the their eyes on the prize.
2. If I were the Steelers, I'd be pissed.
3. Jets do not deserve to be in the playoffs.
Have a Happy New Year!

It's pretty simple... Why would u risk injuring your starters when you got everything locked up??? This is simple common logic, no fixing theory or anything! I would have done the same if I were Caldwell.

How did the linesmakers know to drop that line 4 points but at no where or at any time this was announced to the betting public that the Indy coach would pull his players in the 3rd quarter? If that doesn't tell ya that something smells rotten in Denmark then nothing will. How did the linesmakers know to adjust there line

First of all....I'm in Indy and a huge Colts fan! Indy fans got fc'd.....Indy backers got fc'd! Caldwell got ran off early on his own radio show last night by irate callers! Somebody wins the fcn SB every year but nobody has EVER gone 19-0! To cheat the players and fans out of a shot at history is just flat out wrong!
Manning has played 1,000 games in a row....I think he would've survived another 20 minutes of action on Sunday? They had no problems going balls-to-the-wall vs Jacksonville for 60 minutes with all their starters on only 3 days rest?? I've seen every Peyton snap since the beginning of his career and they've never had a problem with Peyton staying in with the Colts up 28 in the 4Q either...NEVER? Why not try to stay on a roll....resting and taking it easy hasn't worked in the past for the Colts? I still think they can win it all but it will be interesting to see how they rebound mentally?
