it's called poutine. the quebecois invented it. they love it. they swear by it.i hate it. too rich.. gravy and cheese over fries. very very high in calories and fat..

Funny to see this thread. I just ate Onion rings for the first time in a long time last night. I used to dislike them, but I have had a change of taste buds. I love 'em now. I am going to try them on a burger next time.

Ya i got a local place called "billys roast beef" real nice crispy onion rings. Nothing like a Beef plate with onion rings and fries on the side.

yes, but how many eat it with mozzarella cheese on it. that's the main quebecois ingredient in the poutine.

fries, gravy and cheese.. i doubt any americans are dumb enough like the quebecois to put mozzarella cheese in their fries..

the frenchies must've figured out that gravy and fries aren't fattening enough, so they added the fatty cheese, too.

Nicky, they have poutine in Alberta too, never liked it, but i couldn't help but have gravey on my fries there where ever we ate. A real nice place called "Earl's" in Grande Prairie had gravey with their fries.
