Lyon, it isn't being critical. It started as guys who have been doing this longer than Sammy has been alive offering him advice for long term gambling. And him being a snot nosed brat who knows better.

Why is everone being critical of the kid?? Hell, it's his fukkin money. If he wants to bet $1100 which represents too much of his BR on what most likely is a coin flip, than so be it. To each his own. I am not in approval of it myself, but what the hell. Go for it. I imagine most people here reading this and commenting are not professional gamblers anyways. If you were you wouldn't have the time to comment on such stuff. People blow there money on stupid shit everyday... At least he has a chance of doubling it.

On another note.. I personally like the Cards here, but have backed off in lite of this thread and other troubling signs. It's as simple is this... If the Cards play the way they are capable this is a double digit win for them. If San Fran comes out with some intensity and purpose tonite and win's the T/O battle this very well could become a game that the Cards don't cover or perhaps loses S/U.


Some advice for the big bet.... Never, ever, ever, ever make what represents a large wager for you on a MNF game. In your madness you must take a shot at the book be a bit more selective and low key. Choosing something that is a little more off the radar.

I am a BR manager, but still take my shot's time to time, but I don't do it betting on big public nationally televised games usually or anything that presents a bad opportunity or possible trap situation. I take shot's when things fall into my lap. I am not looking for them, but they find me. I hit a very high percentage of those.

No big deal Nina! I am sure Sam knows better. That's my only thing. Hell, he has to know better than to do this. I was once young, dumb and full of *** like Sammy. That was a very expensive period in my life and I have prospered a great deal since.


The advice I gave is priceless and has been learned over much struggles in my past. I employ the exact same advice.

Sammy, will most liekely not read my post or pay attention, but might remeber it one day in the future. Right now he is at the point of no return. He is gonna do it. When things are going good for me.... I do this.... I get even more selective and ornery with my picks because my biggest past wipeouts have followed success. It's good to step back and evaluate why you are successful. I get tighter and more selective after a few days of nice runs. Law of averages usually catches up with you. I stand by my advice. Personally, I am on a huge run right now and my account is swelling up. Requested another payout this morning from the Greek. I have been requesting payouts like crazy lately.


I love to take shots at the books, but only when a opportunity presents itself. For me MNF is probably not the best opportunity.

that's probably a fifth or tenth of your whole bankroll... 10-20% of your bankroll here on this play is crazy... maybe even a larger portion of your bankroll... bad bankroll management will be your downfall...

holy crap the consensus on sbrodds is HUGE for Arizona to cover at anywhere from -3 to -4.5.

The contrarian in me feels very good about SF at +4.5, which I got at Dover Downs on Thu.

I can't agree with this more. People who have learned in the past really should try to teach others to slow down.

I know I went on a 13-1 run last year and gained over 600 bucks more than I ever have. I ended up betting it all on 1 game and lost it. 1,030.00 down the drain. 200 of it was gained from the Casinos. Now, for me that's big money. I only bet 20's as my Units. Use to be 10's. Fact is this, my bankroll usually says 100-300 bucks. I did really good the other night and hit a 4 team parlay with 10 bucks. Perfect example of me getting greedy and thinking I'm untouchable was going into the casino and blowing that on Blackjack. Would lose a hand win a hand lose a hand get pissed and bet it all and bam gone. Which is the sole reason why I'm still learning and need advice like Nick gives. I'm young and greedy. I bet way too much and really need to learn to pace myself. When I've paced myself in the past and have only done 1-2 key plays a day I've done really well. Doing 13 bets in one Sunday is just stupid. Basically what I did yesterday and barely broke even. Most of you are big betters and don't care but I'm just gambling for sole enjoyment. Never risking more than I can chew.

With all that said, Go Cardinals tonight. Got a few Units on them and 40 SBR points. Hope we win Sammy! Hope you didn't Jinx us.

Oh and 1 other thing I did that's kind of cool, got up from .10 to 232 bucks on Cent Sports. Which is kind of...ye. Was just doing it as a challenge with a friend. Owned him, lol. Lots of tennis, soccer, then went from there with parlays and big straight wagers when I was up.
