I have to say Tebow looked as classy as every tonight...He has always been a great kid, but I believe we are watching him mature into a greater man.

I'm not, the guy was fed with a silver spoon his entire life. From the hood? His daddy is Mark Ingram Sr. of the New York Giants fame. Even though daddy is doing a 7 year sentence for fraud, I doubt he raised his kids in the hood.

The awsard has been a joke for many years now. I do not expect to get much of an argument bysaying tha Suh was by far, the best college player out there this year, but Ingram won the big game on T.V. I am just glad that the two QB's, who will not do much at the next level, did as poorly as they did. Neither deserved to be there to begin with.

As far as Tebow goes, there is no question that the young man is a class act. He has a tremendous will to win. But to say he was the best college player ever is a huge stretch. How many years did he lead his team to undefeated records? How many games did he lose in his 3 years as a starting QB? His record is not a record for the great ones. Florida was never considered to be a great team. They certainly could not match up against 2003-2005 USC or 2004-2005 Texas. So we are now rid of Tebow, which is also good for the game. More people will get the desered attention that they did ot get because the press and CBS were too busy drooling all over Tebow. A class act? Yes. A great leader? Yes. A great QB? Not even close.

I *did* bash Ingram after 'Bama beat FLA, so gotcha!:

                  Chalk Mark Ingram up too...

But even though I do take issue with their religion-ahead-of-everything stances, I have to say that these are great guys.

Say what you want about Tebow, but he is obviously a high-quality guy with his heart in the right place. Bringing that girl to the Heisman event was top-notch.

And Ingram, McCoy, all of them: good guys. So I will lay off them.

I think the award has turned into a popularity contest. Who is popular this week type of deal. One game should not decide who wins the award, but in this case, it obviously did.

I will say winning the Heisman Trophy is a bit more impacting on ones emotions vs just wining a football game during a regular season. Furthermore, Mark Ingram is a class act and holds himself well for what he has done. I think of Reggie Bush and how cocky he was and the rest is history!

I agree. Bush was flashy, Ingram guts out every play walter payton style. I'm glad they did not give it to either of the very mediocre QB's that topped the list.

Nick Saban has said that he would have fely guilty if Mark hadn't of won since he could have let him pad his stats all season but didn't since it wasn't in the best interest of the team.

I would have thought a good Republican would possess better money management skills than to let one wager put them under a bridge somewhere. Oh well, guess I was wrong.

Money management is for wimps. No way Florida should have lost that game. I think they took a dive. Those dumbass crocodile tears didn't fool me for a second.

Alot of Heisman winners are black. The majority of athletes are black. 90% of the best are black! How is this racially motivated? If a black man doesn't win I feel something is up!
