I think people have had enough of Timmy...that coupled with Florida's dominance...and the eye black strips with bible verses on them don't help.

Ingram looked like a class act to me.
far removed from the majority of college athletes.
I'm happy for the young man, he will now go down in history.
and he didnt thank all his homies in the 5th ward.

Which is NOT Timmy fault. I blame CBS with their unnatural love fest with him

Come on dude. It's fine I guess, but coupled with everything else it's a bit much. I am not anti-God, I just find it all very in-your-face. Whatever, to this point, it has worked for him, so you can't really fault him too much. If it were me I'd put GOOD BYE on my eye black.

Ingram had tears of joy...Tebow had tears because he got beat. I think people were really using it more for a symbolic picture of the end of Florida's season than actually making fun of him crying.
I'm glad Ingram won it. Gerhart seems like an arrogant ass

LAKE BUENVA VISTA — Florida's Tim Tebow walked the red carpet before Thursday night's Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards show with Kelly Faughnan on his arm, creating quite a stir.
"We got to meet and hang out," Tebow said. "I asked her if she wanted to walk the red carpet with me, and so it was fun. She went and got this dress today."
Faughnan, 20, lives in Clifton, Va., was diagnosed with a brain tumor just before Thanksgiving in 2008, according to her father, Jim. Her tumor was removed just before Christmas and before her surgery Kelly asked if she could go to Disney World afterwards. She also asked to go to a college football awards show to see Tebow this year.
"Kelly has been a big fan of Tim's since he began his football career at Florida," her father explained. "Kelly's cousin and his new wife just graduated from there. Kelly has admired Tim as a football player and even more so as a person."
The players were at a function on Wednesday in Disney and Tebow spotted her wearing a "I love Timmy button." An ESPN producer saw her, talked to her and asked if she would like to meet him. He ended up spending 45 minutes with her and then invited Kelly to attend the show with him.
"He truly is making a great impact on many people's lives, and I can say first hand, on Kelly's life," Jim Faughnan said.
Since he had a date on his arm, Tebow couldn't sign autographs when he walked through the pre-show on ESPNU. Rather than go inside the building, he turned around and went back and walked through the crowd a second time by himself, so he could sign autographs for anyone who wanted one.

i will like Tebow much more when I don't have to hear Jesus Christ or God again after watching a football game, unless it is me losing a bet.

He's not 'hood' raised...he played golf at the country club could have went on a scholarship for that....please don't box the kid in like that just because a city is known for a stereotype..doesn't mean all the natives are.

Tebow is a class act. I think the media shoved him down our collective throats, and that caused a backlash. He's one of the great college players of all time.

Nice to see Alabama get their first Heisman winner in Ingram, he played well all year except the Auburn game.

I think no one bashed him because it's okay to cry when you win, crying when you lose makes you look like a doosh.

Glad Ingram won. I guess he has doomed Alabama in the championship game with the heisman jinx. I have wondared why that line was so cheap. Alabama -200ML makes me want to back up my brinx truck to vegas an unload it down the strip. Vegas has many wise people setting lines. Don't think that they didn't know his probability of winning the heisman and set the line accordingly

Mark Ingram's father played for the New York Giants. Don't feel sorry for him and don't think that didn't help him get a vote or two. It just goes to show you that really the Heisman is just a sham. Ingram was shut down by Auburn. He wasn't the best back at the awards show. CJ Spiller was better than both of them and we'll probably see that in the NFL draft. Either way Suh deserved it more than the others for being dominate in every game.
As far as Tebow, he's genuine no question.

Glad Ingram won. He was well deserving, as were the other players. Don't count on him to win it next year, because Alabama has Trent Richardson also. Richardson is faster and overall more talented and maybe even stronger than Ingram. That just shows you how talented Alabama is and shows the overall depth on the Alabama's roster. Look for Richardson to get half of the carries next year. Saban isn't in Tuscaloosa to win a heisman every year. He is here to win Championships! And he will....... Get used to seeing BAMA for a long long time. - If NFL teams want to win they will load their defense up with talented guys like Suh. Suh is a beast!! McCoy is a great quarterback and has had a great career at Texas. He will also be a great NFL player. - I just don't know what to think about Gerhart, I do know that he is a powerful back with above average speed and has a nose for the endzone in the redzone. If I had to pick out of the 4 seniors to be on my NFL team, It's a no brainer-- SUH! I sure wouldn't want him to be on the other team.
