But I reiterate that plus money line bets don't really have a 50% chance of hitting, so they aren't really +EV.

I guess you have to be a playa to realize what is and isn't gonna hit.

I started posting solely in the Think Tank after coming home from the books. I had wallets full of money and I'd post some strategy, and these guys just would laugh at me.

But anyway, Monkeyfukk there's the answer to your math question. So a playa can answer your math question. But can a math whiz like yourself post 100 bets and hit over 50%? Below -200...

When I started I was approx. 29.00 units behind first place. This is more or less where I am at now (around +29.00 and > 60%) and in 3rd place.

The Islanders at +170 don't have to win 50% of the time for it to be a plus EV bet. And please stop with the BTJ use of all CAPS it makes it hard to read.

Good thread Richie but one thing I must say that everyone has their ways. Pavy has his ways and offers great analytical data to back up his picks and Durito uses knowledge to beat lines, etc. I can tell you one thing they both have offered great advice on this forum. Take Nicky for example he doesnt post picks but if you have read his posts he makes it clear on how to beat the books. Stare at lines and make your move when you see the opportunity to pounce. To each his own.

Go 33-60 and lose units. A lot of my friends bet for fun. They place big parlays hope they hit. Or bet on their team.

Old people have a little bit to play with each month, bet it, and hope one day they'll win huge, even if every day they lose small.

I was saying +ev, means, i guess placing 100 bets, winning 33 of them and coming out +0.5 units. Whatever.

I like to be +100% at the end of the game, minus juice.
