Don't be shocked if Chip jumps ship to USC if they want him. Would not be shocked either if he initiated the contact. Always thought that would be wear he wound up after he flopped in the NFL. Figured it would be 2015 or so, but the opening is there now. I can see him throwing the towel in.

he'd be winning if he could get the usc job actually be a good pick up for usc

It'll be interesting. Haden now gets his guy, not some inherited little brat. Seems like any way you shape it, USC isn't going to have a new coach until after the NFL season is over most likely since a lot of the rumored names are coaches there.

Honestly though - Chip is like the other guys who make this jump, a touch of arrogance and lots of self confidence. You get your ass handed to you for a full year in the NFL, temptation will be there to jump back to what you know best and turn back into the guy who can rule the school vs. being a sinking ship in the shark tank.

There are two power programs likely to be ready to shell out big bucks in the offseason in USC & Texas.
