Nobody doubts the kid is a player. The point of the question was...Would he be running for 200yds a game in the SEC?? The answer is no... Do you not think the SEC has backs that couldn't replicate those numbers against weaker defenses?? I watched PAC 10 football this weekend and it is nite and day compared to the SEC. The PAC 10 has to be the worst conference of the BCS teams.

you are correct, he wouldnt be averaging 200 in the sec, but he isnt averaging 200 in the pac-10 either... more like 140. so the entire premise of this thread is just plain stupid. could he have at least 1 - 200 yard game? of course.

Depends on which team he played for in the SEC. As others have mentioned he is a throwback player. He would've been GREAT on a 1970s I or Wishbone team.

the majority of tebows 800 yds. came from non-conference oppents....his rushing stats against the sec schools is not that good. The yards he has gained against sec defenses are from scrambling not designed run plays.

The SEC top to bottom is the best there is in college football and that starts with a strong, fast, athletic defense. that would stop Gerhart consistently
