then they are out of their minds. He's a good player but get real. Pee Wee Herman could have 200 yds against soft PAC10 defenses. Anybody at running back running out of a physical I formation attack should have that against those cream puff defenses.
If anybody thinks Gerhardt would have 200 yds playing in SEC

#2Seer,
As much as I respect your knowledge of College football (and nice going on your plays today), I must disagree with you're take on Gerhart. Toby Gerhart would being doing the same thing in the SEC or Big 12.
He just played himself into the Heisman conversation tonight. Big time player.

#3I think there is more offense in the west so no he would not have three 200 yard rushing games in the SEC. He certainly deserves though consideration of being the heisman winner though.Comment -

I do not like the Pac 10
But watchin this kid run is the closest thing I have seen to Larry Csonka in the 70s
He is as punishing a runner as there is in college football
the kids who tackle this guy feel it all week
Earl Campbell did the same except he had more speedComment -

#9Gerhart is the real deal and its not often that we get a badass white boy running back so I am on the bandwagon. However I dont think he will win the Heisman. He will probably finish 3rd behind McCoy and Ingram.Comment -

There is parity plain and simple through out the land
you will see it again this year when Big East team beats someone they are not supposed to in Bowl game..etc
Bowl games help settle these squabbles

#16It sure will be interesting, he seems like a bull but pro ball is a different ball game and players hit much harder. College football is a sissy game compared to NFL football. I think he will hold his own but I doubt he will be a star, very rarely can a white RB excel in the NFL.Comment -

Nobody doubts the kid is a player. The point of the question was...Would he be running for 200yds a game in the SEC?? The answer is no... Do you not think the SEC has backs that couldn't replicate those numbers against weaker defenses?? I watched PAC 10 football this weekend and it is nite and day compared to the SEC. The PAC 10 has to be the worst conference of the BCS teams.Comment -
