First time I've seen this thread. If you can quit smoking after 10 years you are a better man than I. Ive tried everything.

haha!! I'll chain smoke all day, then quit cold turkey. I haven't smoked in ,.... I dunno a couple months since I finished my last pack. But I have control. You are such a genius at basic probability, it seems like you'd be intelligent enough to finish your pack and stop for half a year or so.

Smoke for 20 years. Been quitting on and off for a year. Probably take me years to quit if at all. I'm addicted to the ****ing gum now. I occasionally buy a pack and smoke it. Then couple weeks of gum. But I feel the gum is giving me problems.(like you were complaining about your arm). Bottom line I still can't go a day without nicotine. However, I feel like my mental state and need for cigarettes has changed and eventually I might be able to quit.
Also when I first laid off the smoking I felt better, but after a while I felt that my breathing is just as bad.

Hope you can stay quit man. I was able to after smoking for over a decade myself... quitting the drugs was the hard part for me, cigarettes actually easy. In fact I've quit smoking multiple times in my life without much problem at all... very strange since I have such a difficult time quitting other things. Haven't had a cigarette in about 3 years now. Anyways, gl man.

Nice job. I smoked for 10 years and have been quit for nearly 3. It's hard to believe, but if you can keep it up it does get better. After 4-6 months I finally started feeling normal without them. FWIW I know two hardcore smokers that quit smoking using Chantix. They swear by it, but beware of the side effects.

why the fukk do you tease me like that?? i read the title of the thread and get excited that you're finally leaving and you actually are going to quit. then i find out it's fukkin cigarettes you are quitting and not SBR..

who the fukk cares if you smoke or not.. get a life.. on the other hand, if you quit sbr instead, now we will care.

maybe that's why you've been such a jerk the last few weeks. you might need those cigs again.

what a loser.. go smoke some more, which you know you will eventually. why bother us..

Don't know the name of the pill but there's a new pill out that's supposed to eliminate cravings and makes cigs taste gross if you have 1. Heard the only main side effects is some crazy dreams, if u can handle that maybe try the pills, think you gotta get em from the doc though.

I use to smoke 2 packs a day and thn a buddy of mine wanted to make a BET. Whoever would light a cig up 1st would have to pay the other guy a $100. I won the bet and havent had a cig since and that was 20 years ago.
