I think it will take a monumental effort to get the Iowa's players focused though..........if they feel like me, they are depressed as hell...........and they have to go back to class and didn't win money on their game like me.

Throw in a back-up QB that looked horrible and it could be a long and embarrassing day for the Hawks next week.

JJ, the Bluebonnett Bowl sounds kewl at this point.

Fishy, there is always the Papa John's Bowl in Birmingham. You can take me out to dinner then. But not in a dumpster.

Still looking good for Iowa / PSU to get in the BCS as an at-large. Oregon, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma all losing today just opened Pandora's box. A 10-2 team in the Big Ten isn't a lock by any stretch of the imagination, but it doesn't look like the ACC , Big 12 , Big East / Notre Dame will be receiving an at-large bid. Ditto to Boise State, who will be doing everything and anything to somehow get in the BCS.

Really intriguing games in the Big Ten next week. Northwestern at Illinois will be the critical game for the Cats (a win in Champaign would put them in the Champs Sports Bowl), and a W by the Illini gives them a winning streak heading into Nippert as they keep fighting to salvage something out of this disaster of a season. Michigan State at Purdue is by all means a bowl elimination game baring an MSU upset at home against the fightin' Paternos. South Dakota State is going to give Minnesota all they can handle, and of course, the Big Ten Title will be decided in Columbus.

                Wow what a joke.

But I am placing a bet on Iowa + the points this week, maybe even ML. Ohio St. is not much better than anyone in the conference. Defense will be the theme of this game. Also Pryor F'n up consistently will be the sub-plot.

Iowa will NOT win this game with a freshman QB, a freshman running back, and with the injuries to the offensive line.

                    Low expectations? Inferiority complex??

C'mon Fish you know Ohio St. isn't a great team. I like Frentz in the coaching matchup too. Conservative values of the mid-west will make this a low-scoring, and close game.

I would wager against IOWA straight-up on the road against ANY team in the Big Ten this coming week....................and obviously about 40-50 other teams in the nation.

The Iowa offense is in COMPLETE MISERY/DISARRAY!!

I'm going to rack up your upcoming week of posts to you being a complete, and total loyal fan of Iowa. But that equates to over-reactions, and a lack of objectivity.

And this is different from Iowa any other week, how exactly?

Yeah, that Iowa "offense" wasn't exactly rolling up the yards and points against Northern Iowa either.

A three point win over Arkansas State.
A 2 point win over Michigan State

Iowa was winning on borrowed time. Hell, if Stanzi is out the rest of the season----Iowa may finish with three losses.

                              Huh?

Iowa has lost not one, not two, but their TOP THREE running backs!!

They have lost their starting QB

They have lost two starting offensive lineman

They are playing in the Horseshoe against a team that just destoryed PSU............

The only way Iowa wins this game is by a score of 9-7 or 12-10.

They MIGHT, MIGHT be able to score a defensive TD, but that would be the only way this teams scores a TD........(unless possibly the defense gets an OSU turnover inside the ten yard line, but even then, Iowa would be an underdog to score a TD).

They are not going to score on a punt return or kickoff return because their top two return specialists are injured also.
