#3USC lost to WASH and was ranked #4 in the Coaches poll, .......................I guess this is the time for Iowa to use their mulligan so they can remain in the title picture.
A win next week at OHIO STATE would be big and could possibly propel them right back into the top six in the BCS..............who could of thunk?????Comment -

I doubt Iowa sill stay in the Top Ten though, b/c people have been waiting to drop them for weeks now. Coaches & AP polls will bury them.Comment -

#9You shouldn't get a mulligan in the Big 10. Just my opinion. Alabama would beat Northwestern by 45 points, at Northwestern, 99 times out of 100.Comment -

Whoever makes it to the BCS game out of the Big Ten will get crushed like they have for the past few years. When the bowl games are played you will be sucked back into reality.Comment -

#15Originally posted by HoulihansTXYou are delusional Fish. Did you see the ALA/LSU game. Those players are much bigger, faster, and stronger. They had NFL players on the field in that game. Big Ten lacks that across the board. IF you disagree you have sealed the deal as a Big Ten homer that lacks objectivity.

I'd much rather watch a Big 12, Pac 10, or Big East game.Comment -

#16Originally posted by element1286I agree, the talent is better in the SEC, but I can't stand watching SEC football. QB play is embarrassingly bad in that conference, it's pretty uninteresting. I'd much rather watch a Big 12, Pac 10, or Big East game.
I guess the biggest difference is the talent on Defense. Most teams in the SEC are stacked on D.
SEC football is still very intriguing too me cuz of the talent on the field, but I see your point. QB play is avg at best. Ryan Mallet is the best in conference,Comment -

#17iowa will play in a nice bowl game, but won't even be a BCS bowl game. Ohio st wins the B10 and goes to the Rose Bowl vs Oregon
Iowa will probably end up in the Capital One Bowl and lose.Comment -

#19Oh yeah and the Big Ten produced the Heisman winner Troy Smith. He is real good in the pros.
All of those players look good against each other in the Big Ten, but let them play the SEC once in a while. Those guys will look avg.
But I applaud Iowa on their award winners. Even though their stats were padded against other weak Big Ten teams.Comment -

#21I seem to remember the hype of the Big Ten and Ohio State against the SEC in recent BCS Championships....do we really have to bring up how THAT went....and ask the Sooners about last year while you're at it. For the time being....Big 12 and SEC are playing at a different level than the Big Ten who also have the luxury of a week off with no conference championship game while Big 12 SEC and ACC settle it on the field.Comment -

Dallas Clark is the best TE in the NFL........Nate Kaeding could be considered the best kicker in the NFL........and Bob Sanders was a defensive player of the year in the sNFL.....former Hawkeye Aaron Kampman led the NFL sacks a couple years ago I believe.
Not saying that many SEC schools don't produce great NFL stars, but your unappreciation of the Big Ten and the talent is jagged..............BUT IN THE PAST 10 YEARS OR LESS, THE SEC HAS BEEN THE BEST CFB CONFERENCE WITHOUT QUESTION............Comment -

#23Iowa is going to get it kicked out of them by Ohio State. It will be a 2 loss Pac 10 team vs a 2 loss Ohio State team in the Rose Bowl more than likely. The Big 10 can probaby say goodbye to a 2nd BCS team. Penn State is out. USC defeated Ohio State.Comment -
