I was in a Catholic church last night for the first time in 6 months. One of the first things mentioned were the Yankees, and within 2 minutes after that he was talking about going to hell. lol.

I could show God and Jesus a thing or two about brewing beer, but I doubt I get invited to that party. My soul's on its own when this life is up. My remains will be mixed with foul line chalk and laid out on some baseball field and that's good enough for me.

But why should I worry about partying in afterlife when I have all the time in the world to party while I'm alive and don't have to live my life according to the preachings of a mortal like Jesus, Allah or Buddha? I chose to report to no one while I'm alive.

Hard to argue with that. Im an athiest as well, although in fairness when I need a late comeback for a game or something I'll pray. Doesn't ever work out too well though?

In essence Pavy the Atheism is your religion. Religion is nothing more than faith. Be it having faith in God or Alah or a cowor some form or other idelogical being or figure. Your non-belief is ironically enough your faith therefore your religion.

So true, we as humans surely fall far short in the ability to understand or explain the true nature of reality. Yet, we manage to kill and oppress each other over the tiniest differences in some of the best guesses we have come up with so far.
