I am on the Falcons. Both teams fun to watch. Divisional game. A turnover can be the difference.

Anthony Hargrove is a better DTacke than Ellis...He is a freak of nature...As he had 2 sacks last week against Miami replacing Ellis...Saints secondary is the best in the league with Tracy Porter 4.3 speed 2nd round pick last year...Jabari Greer who was the indoor 60meter champion for Tenn in college...Roman Harper coming from the safety Blitz position and of course Darren Sharper...
Will Smith and Charles Grant coming off the ends with a very fast and freakish Bobby McCray right behind them...Jonathan Vilma at MLB....
And I have said nothing about the balanced offense with a receiving core that goes 4 deep, TE Shockey, RB'sBell, Thomas, Bush and of course Drew Brees....

I know it was something I forgot to state! Hargrove is a beast!!! The guy should be starting in my eyes but they are paying Ellis so much money so of course he gets the edge!

with the Wildcat man....... Every team struggled with the Wildcat at some point. But in the second half they came out and made adjustments and shut them down. Hell the Saints defense outscored Miami offense in the 2nd half 14-7

lakerboy, with all due respect. double digits favorites in the NFL are huge. I know they beat alot of teams soundly, but 12 points on MNF against your division rival is huge. If they were playing the bucs i could see the line being this high.

So think about it you have a offense that's explosive and a defense that's adding points also that become hard to beat.
Do you know how many TD's other teams scored from picks or fumbles against the Falcons?

For Potential Falcon backers...Not a good idea.....
"That’s just Brees being politically correct, as he always is. But, you have to figure that Brees and coach Sean Payton have spent the week watching the Atlanta-Dallas film and getting more than a little excited about the possibilities. If Tony Romo and Miles Austin can batter the Atlanta secondary, Brees, Colston and company could absolutely shred it.
The Falcons don’t have anything close to a shutdown corner, and two of their top three cornerbacks wouldn’t be among top three cornerbacks on any other team. Although Atlanta coach Mike Smith and general manager Thomas Dimitroff have done a great job since taking over a franchise in total disarray, cornerback might be the one spot they’re not better off than they were when they took charge in 2008."

2 Star Selection
**NEW ORLEANS (-10.0) 33 Atlanta 17
05:30 PM Pacific, 02-Nov-09
05:30 PM Pacific, 02-Nov-09
New Orleans suffered a letdown last week and they still managed to come from behind and cover the spread in Miami. The Saints are now 6-0 ATS and I see no reason why that streak will end at home on Monday Night Football. The Saints' offense is averaging 40 points per game and the only two games in which they did not score 45 points or more were against the Jets and Bills, the two best pass defenses that the Saints have faced. Atlanta does not have a good pass defense (6.4 yards per pass play allowed to quarterbacks that would average 6.2 yppp against an average team), so I don't see Drew Brees being stopped in this game. The Saints also have a good rushing attack and Atlanta is worse than average defending the run too (4.8 ypr allowed to teams that would average 4.5 ypr against an average team).
The Falcons have a reputation for having a good offense, but that unit is actually barely better than average with 5.4 yards per play coming against a schedule of teams that would allow 5.3 yppl to an average attack. New Orleans, meanwhile, has a good defense has allowed 4.9 yppl this season and rates at 0.5 yppl better than average.
My math model favors New Orleans by 13 points and the Saints apply to a very good 67-15-2 ATS statistical match-up indicator that is 14-1 ATS when applying to favorites of more than 7 points. Atlanta's loss last week may have them fired up to play well tonight (they're 5-1 ATS after a loss), but winning teams that are coming off a loss are just 18-44-1 ATS as Monday night visitors, including 12-39-1 ATS if the home team has a win percentage of .400 or higher. New Orleans, meanwhile, is now a perfect 10-0 ATS the last two seasons as a favorite of more than 3 points, so they're not the type of team to let up. I'll take New Orleans in a 2-Star Best Bet at-10 points or less.

Why does everyone say the spread is so high for MNF? Look at last week ... The Eagles were laying 9 on the road against a good Redskins Defense (granted the Skins offense is really bad). So if you were one of us who took the Eagles last week on the road ... where is the logic in passing on 12 points at home for a Saints offense that is among the best in the NFL?
Saints get up and you get them boys in the secondary for the Saints in ball-hawk mode ... ATL is begging for a pick-6. I just don't see how ATL walks out of the building with anything less than a 14 point loss.

And I'm pretty sure Falcons spent the week picking up potatoes in Idaho instead of watching film of the Dolphins (which the Falcons destroyed in week 1) making the Saints defense look like high school.

After careful consideration, I have decided, -3 +106 1Q NO.. is the bet tonight.. I figure its a monday nighter.. NO will start off hot but ATL may just come back because the networks want people to watch and blowouts mean no watching..which means less money for commercials which means less money for all those people who control the world. Either way I've decided it will be close.
