Top of 11th inning. Deep fly ball hits about a foot inside the foul line, after left fielder chases and misses. Double, maybe a triple.
Foul!

Yeah we've been discussing it in the game thread.
One of the sickest calls I've ever seen in post season baseball.

Unreal. Umpires just trying to reward all that square money on NYY. Total LOLville

I stand corrected. I guess I whined too quickly before watching the many replays.
That, and I'm investing in Twins +390 for the series.

How will the umpires get NYY out of a bases loaded jam with no outs?

No it wasn't, it was Joe Mauer to lead off the 11th, it was obviously fair, woulda been a double (Mauer is slow) and it was quite obvious. The umpire down the left field line is down there for calls just like that and misses an obvious one, unforgivable!!

Yeah I guess those of us on the Twins didn't take into account while capping that the LF umpire was completely blind.
Please.

Should of been a ground rule double and he would of scored on Kubel's base hit. That ump got paid off and there's no way MLB can have this ump be in another playoff game. Most obvious call makes every fan question the game when it's that happens.

You guys gotta be kidding me. First off, everything would of been different. So we don't even know that Kubel would of gotten a ht. And they had bases loaded with nobody out. They can only blame themselves!!!

Fantastic 2nd post. I'm anxiously awaiting #3.
Why is it so hard to say that the Twins got royally f***** by that call? Yes, the Twins left countless runners on but that doesn't change the fact that Mauer's ball was fair by a foot and no one in their right mind could miss that call.

More like MLB wants it to happen. If people don't think they control who gets into the finals they are crazy.

Because I can't take the stupidity. I'm the king of bad beats. I lost $800 on Holliday yesterday. If I took the Twins, I wouldn't say I lost bc of umpiring. And baseball is a billion dollar business. They don't payoff umpires, because if they did, nobody would watch and a billion dollar business would be reduced to nothing.

If you're up 3-1 in the 9th and you can't hold on, all bets on your team are off. It doesn't matter how they finally ended up losing. Their closer was the most nervous pitcher I have ever seen. Once his face started twitching and contorting uncontrollaby it was all over. He didn't want to be there. So they ate him.

I guess MLB ordered Nathan to give up a 2 run homer too. It's all a conspiracy against the Twins. I can't take it. I really can't
