Though binomial regression is particularly applicable to sports given you are interested in a binary outcome. So let me correct my error in claiming you type reg y x and change that to you having to type probit/logit y x
LOL. It's that simple to beat the market. Are you saying Nicky is so stupid he can't type a simple statement into Stata?

Do you think he has 2-3 undergrad classes in stats that will tell him what the dependent and independent variables should be? How to interpret coefficients? [Where it all comes from? - though I don't think you really need to know.] Why are some significant and others not?

I'm just saying once you have that you can do what you're doing, but is it worth it for Nicky to go back to college when what he's doing is working just fine?

5teamer. Pros won't give out any secrets to anyone who's not already established. It is up to you to discover them. But you can and should try to isolate any advantages such as promos, bonuses, arbs if possible. Familiarize yourself with all forms of gambling and the simple math involved. Then, if you spot an advantage, jump on it.

After three years in the work force, I decided it is not for me (yes I started working at 25).

I need some tips on how to go pro. What are your secrets?
It's good to have a goal before you, but unless you have learned how to attain success in other fields, sports betting will prove to be a steep climb. First you need to know what it takes to be successful. How to get from step A to B, and from B to C; what it means to 'pay the price'.

When a little kid says he wants to be a professional athlete everybody is encouraging. It's cute. But it is a very different story when a successful college athlete decides he wants to go pro. Now people in his field are listening. He is in a position to make some waves. He's already on the road to success. He's already paid much of the price.

Think about it. Going pro in sports betting is comparable to reaching the top 2% of a field. In the work force, which you don't like, you get paid just for showing up. If you should ever reach the top 2% in your field, you will be paid well. In sports betting you don't get paid unless you reach the top 2%... If you're not confident that you can reach the top 2% in another field, what makes you think you could do it in sports betting?

You need to understand the steps that lead to success. Then you can apply them to any field. Your motivation to want to get away from the work force is not good enough. Not even close. To reach the top 2% you need a burning desire.

Start with something simple. Master it to perfection. Then step it up to something more difficult. And so on. Once you know -with certainty- that you can attain success in anything you put your mind to, then you're ready for sports betting. First you need a history of success behind you.

There is nothing friendly about gambling. It's life-or-death, no mercy. You see the kids coming in here thinking that sports betting is easy money? You see how they cling together, once they realize it's not, and find comfort in the company of other losers? They're the little fish; they're here because they're food for bigger fish. Don't come into this ocean like a little fish; you'll be on the wrong side of the blood in the water. Grow a set of teeth first.
