My quest to get out of debt...
I don't know where to put it but I guess it will have to go here.

Hi, I'm in a ton of debt. I owe tons of people money. I owe different people $800, $1500, $500, $250, $300, $1000, and $1060. I have never stiffed anyone in my life. I don't know how to do it. I have paid the biggest pussies in the world back. If thats not enough I am down $6,247 on the week thanks to the casino on my account. I am owed $150 and $60 and have $73 in my pocket. I am in trouble. The only way I can get out of this is by a gift from God or by betting. I am only 20 years old and it may be a short life for me if things keep up this way. I need to get out of this hole. I know I can win betting. I have done it for the 4 years I began betting. I had a stretch of 37 straight winning weeks which ended up with me having offers to pay for my picks which I glady accepted.

Call me tout scum but I never lied or hyped myself up. Just sent the picks and colected the money. My best sports in order go from College Hoops-NFL-MLB-NCAAF. I am solid in them all but I have failed miserably in two things over the years. #1 money management. When I win, I bet bigger, when I lose I bet bigger. Things can't go that way. I ruin all my hard work by leaving it down to a few big bets on the weekend. I have chased in the past as well and I have come to realize if I want to make this back I can't do it in one day. It will take time. Just keep winning and over time it will take care of itself. #2 the casino. I know it's rigged yet I continue to go into it. I believe that means I have a problem. I know this and accept it now but I feel helpless. I like my life too much to take the easy way out so what other choice do I have. It will take years of paychecks to pay this debt. I need to win and I need to win now. Any advice is gladly welcome as I need as much help and support to get out of this as I can. It all starts tomorrow. I am going to post my plays and everything else I do that involves money. Please talk me out of any bad ideas and help me through this. I do have a battle plan and it comes down to this:

    Step #1
I need to bet big and win this weekend to cut into that $6,000 and change bet.
    Step #2
Get a job. Need all the extra income I can get. I am ready to scum my way into money if need be. I am going to gather money through working and other things.
    Step #3
Hopefully when this weeks deficit gets resolved (if it does). Step back, have a cigarette, and go smaller and chip away at my outstanding debts.

Here goes nothing. Wish me luck.

    Time to cap...

Quit gambling and get a couple jobs... You could have this taken care of in six months... Plus it would give lots of time to contemplate on how you really got yourself into your hole...

Leave the casino alone. It will only make the situation worse. I am speaking from my own experience. You said it yourself, you know it's rigged, but you continue to press your luck. Self control. Best of luck to you. The job is the most practical way to chip away at your debt. If you continue sports wagering, get on a money management plan.

If you're only 20 then your debts are nothing in the grand scheme of things. Stop gambling and set up a payment plan with the people you owe. And remember - stop gambling.

                  Step 1: Stop betting
                  Step 2: GET A JOB
Step 3: Pay off the people you owe (in installments if necessary)

Regardless of your past success with betting you need to stop right now. You just said that your problem is that when you lose you bet bigger and yet here you are losing and betting big, STOP. The casino thing is self-explanatory, yeah you obviously need to stop that but you should not be betting either. Even if you hit at 60% you're going to lose everything betting bigger after winning and losing.

Bottom line: Conntinuing to bet when you clearly can't afford to lose is a terrible idea. You are young, you have plenty of time to turn this around, but you have to stop. NOW.

Chicago Cubs @ San Francisco Giants
Can't beleive the Giants dropped that one last night. Brian Wilson one of the better closers in the league all year gives up a two run shot with two on and two out to Baker. But hey, shit happens. The facts still remain the Rockies lost last night keeping the Giants within striking difference while the Rockies play bad baseball and now have to host the Cardinals. The Giants have still been very good at home. The Cubs have been shaky on the road. The Giants need this one. It is essentially do or die. The Giants have Tim Lincecum going. He has been my go-to-guy in the past when I am in a jam. He got roughed up last start but that was on the road against the Dodgers. He also was having some injury trouble but from what I have read it shouldn't effect him. Lincecum at home this year has been unhittable. He is 9-1 in 15 starts at home with a 1.80 ERA over 110.1 innings. In those innings he has struck out 132 batters and walked just 31. Batters are hitting just .205 off of him. The Giants are 11-4 in his home starts this year. He has pitched well against the Cubs in his career. He is 2-1 with a 2.54 ERA in 28.1 innings against the Cubs in his career. Carlos Zambrano is a headcase and I will definitley take my chances against a guy who will implode if times get tough. He is struggling, the stats on some starts may not indicate it but he is having trouble with his control and putting innings away. He is 3-2 with a 4.64 ERA since the all star break. Since the break he has pitched 52.1 innings and allowed 87 baserunners. He has lasted 7 innings in just 1 of his last 12 starts. I like that stat for me. If he can only go six and give up two runs I really like my chances against the Cubs bullpen. He is going to have to have a hell of a start to outduel Lincecum.
                        Giants 4, Cubs 1

Playing SF Giants ML. Will lock in the bet in the morning.

Guys I know I need to quit gambling. I want to but thats just not the option right now. I work for a seasonal buisness and the season ended about a month ago. I am in the midst of a job transition and am waiting to hear back from a few spots. I just don't know if they will do payment plans. I know this isn't the smart thing to do but I am invested in it right now. If I get down 10k on the week I will stop and face the music. Probably a desperation parents bailout. Stop gambling for a long time until I can build up a roll where if I lose a week I won't take a hit. Ultimatley I have had big debts before and I think they will all be gone within the next 8 months. I just need to sell some things and flip some things. My life has been a rollercoaster. $5,000 in my pocket one week $5,000 in debt the next. Just waiting for the next upswing.

                                Baltimore Orioles @ Cleveland Indians
David Hernandez vs Fausto Carmona. Two of my favorite pitchers to fade. Daniel Hernandez has been pathetic since September started. Last start he had a "quality start" but the three before that were horrific. All in all his September ERA is over 10.80. Post all star break he is 2-6 with a 6.10 ERA in 12 starts. He has pitched to the over in his past 4 starts and although the Indians have struggled, they have to be excited about getting a bad team at home and will look to put up runs early which I think they are capable of. Fausto Carmona will counter for the Indians and what happened to this guy? Carmona used to be a solid #2 to CC Sabathia but now he is getting slammed. That injury really took a lot out of him and now his confidence seems shattered. At this point the only reason he is on an MLB team is because of his 2M+ salary for this year. Carmona got smashed for 9 runs in his last start against the A's. In his last 3 starts he has gone 11.2 innings and allowed 19 runs. His last start against Baltimore just under a month ago was a 4.2 inning, 6 run, 9 hit, 3 walk pounding. I am very confident that the Orioles and Indians will be able to push this one over.
                                Indians 9, Orioles 8

Will be playing the over tomorrow morning.

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pirates are terribe. Now since the trading deadline they are 12-37. They have dropped 6 in a row and are 3-23 in their last 26. The Dodgers are playing to clinch a playoff spot and are coming off of a series win against the Nationals. Jon Garland has really hit a hot streak since being acquired from the D-Backs. 27 IP and 7 ER since coming to the Dodgers good for a 2.33 ERA. He is 3-0 since joining the Dodgers. He has been stellar on the road all year posting a 3.46 ERA on the road. The Dodgers will oppose Jeff Karstens who hass been bad this year. He started the season in the rotation but got knocked around and found himself in the pen. He wasn't much better there and now is getting a start. This coming after pitching in releif Monday and allowing 5 runs in 0.1 innings.
                                  Dodgers 6, Pirates 2

Will be playing Dodgers ML tomorrow. Don't usually play this many big favorites but I am hoping to hit it big.

New York Mets @ Florida Marlins
The Mets are terrible. I know, I am a Mets fan. The injuries have ravaged this team and now they lay here hoping to spoil the Marlins wild card hopes. I just don't see it happening they are still down on their luck and don't play with any fire. Ricky Nolasco is capable of pitching gems and pitched very well in his last start. But this is more of a fade of Redding. Redding has been solid his last few times out but the Mets are just 7-20 in games he pitches in. Also, the Marlins have owned him. In the past 3 years Redding has faced the Marlins in 7 starts and is 1-4 with an ERA of 7.78. The Mets are just 27-48 on the road and refuse to hit the ball on the road, hell even at home they refuse to hit. The Marlins need this game and Nolasco is good in these spots. In his last 12 starts he has given up 4 runs or more just 3 times. At home he has given up 4 runs or more just twice in his past 10 starts.
                                    Marlins 5, Mets 2

                                    Playing the Marlins ML 2m.

I dont want you to lose, but at the same time winning is only going to encourage you to bet more, which just means you'll lose later. Here's hoping you win and somehow find the balls to give it up anyway.

Jered Weaver has been great all year for the Angels. At home he is 9-2 with a 2.89 ERA. The Angels are 12-4 in his home starts this year as well. In Weavers only home start against the A's this year he went 6 and allowed 0 runs on just 4 hits. The A's have been playing good ball but they haven't faced a team as capable as the Angels who are looking to keep pace with the Yankees in the quest for home field as well as to clinch the division which is down to a magic number of 4. The A's also haven't been great on the road this year they are 9 under on the road. The A's will throw Gio Gonzalez who has struggled. He is having trouble finding the strike zone and throwing a ton of pitches which has limited his innings. In his past 7 starts he has gone over 5.2 innings just once and 2 of those starts went less then 4 innings. In those 7 starts his ERA is 7.84 in 34.2 innings pitched. Also during that span he has walked 27 and given up 6 home runs.
                                          Angels 6, A's 3

Yes a ton of chalk. Anyone who has peeked in on my plays sees I don't play many favs higher then -130. But desperate times is all I can say. I figure with this card it is my best chance to put up a great night and get some back quickly. Also a good way to get killed but I am playing aces in playoff races vs teams who are done and playing bad. Hopefully this translates into a 4-1 night.

If I get out of this hole I will stop until I build up $5,000. Then when that happens I will come back into betting with $1,000 and making just $30 bets to start and grind up. If I lose that $1,000 I can pay it back comfortably and confirm sports betting is not for me.

$200 bankroll. you have almost no outs. your best bet take a shot at a long parlay or anything with big odds. If you think your going to grind yourself up to 5k betting favs, don't waste your time.

Best of luck and keep your head up.
I am beginning to start to pawn items. I don't know anything about how to apply for a loan. If I could I definitley would and I have never had a credit card and my debit card never goes into the red. I am assuming my credit is solid. Where can I go to donate plasma? I would do that in a heart beat.

If you had this money offshore, you should withdraw and settle up your debts. I dont know where you live, but I work as a chef and I will hire anyone to come in and wash dishes a few nights a week. Not the greatest job, but you get a free meal, and some money, might help you get back on your feet.
