Guys I smell an UPSET Thursday NIGHT!! SOUTH CAROLINA +3!!!

i like south carolina in this game. they get their best DT back from three game suspension and another DT back from injury. while these two have been out their replacements have played well so they have great depth here. i think the extra attention given to the return of these players should help norwood make more plays. mississippi has not really looked good in their two wins against weak teams and this will be their toughest game in hostile territory so i dont see them being their very best tonight. if south carolina can stop the run like they have so far this year Snead will have to win the game in the air and he has never passed for over 300 yards in a game. i believe the short work week favors the team with the best coaching staff and in my opinion that is south carolina. another interesting thing here is the defensive coordinator at mississippi (tyrone nix) used to be the defensive coordinator under spurrior. i give the edge to spurrior here as he should have a good grasp of how nix thinks and makes adjustments this was evident last year as he got the victory in mississippi (31-24).

I am on Ole Miss also. USC doe shave a good defense,but the offense is suspect. Garcia is not that seasoned yet and I'm ot sure he is up to the quick defense Ole Miss brings. Garcia has problems seeing the field when he starts feeling pressure. USC's defense with Norwood will be able to stay with Ole Miss's offense but the time on the feild will be long for USC. I'll take -4 and Ole Miss for 3 units.

Columbia is wild at night and this is really the Rebels first time in the spotlight on national TV. They looked shaky against Memphis for 3 1/2 quarters. Defense may be suspect to the run. I can't pull the trigger either way yet but I think you have valid points. It's VERY hard to go on the road in the SEC and win. Yes they do have Snead and McCluster but a defense like South Carolina can match them perfectly. You add the homefield behind it and I smell upset.

No kiddin. This isn't even considered an upset to me. When the #4 team is only favored by 3 or 4 against an unranked team, that should tell you something. As you said people that follow the SEC close shouldn't be suprised at all here. Easy money in my book.
